Hi All, nnI purchased Lenovo Flex-2 14 (59-429728) sometime back but not from Flipkart. I got two year additional warranty free (in total 3 years) plus an accessories goodies bag from retail store. nnI will not going to paragraphs explaining and detailing the specifications which are already listed on product page. Instead, will list pros and cons along with some personal opinion and experience. nnPros:nn1. Multi-mode: The laptop can be used as laptop as well as tablet mode as the laptop lid swivels 300 degrees. The edges have rubber pads that prevent the keys from touching the bottom when used in tablet mode. n2. Full HD Display: This model has 1920x1080 pixels resolution. Hence, pictures and videos are crystal clear. n3. Intel Core i3: Processor is fast for everyday use. Boot time is less than 10 seconds. n4. Windows 8.1: Licensed Windows 8.1 pre-loaded so don’t have to buy Windows OS. May not be interesting for people wanting to use Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS etc).n5. 4GB RAM (1 slot free): Since it has 1 memory slot free, you can upgrade to 8GB. (Please check compatibility of RAM before buying online)/n6. 14” inch Touch Screen: 10 point touch screen panel which is fairly responsive.n7. Lightweight: The laptop is fairly lightweight (1.8 kg). Not as light as 11” inch Dell Inspiron 3148 but, it is good for mobile users.n8. Backlit Keyboard: The keyboard is backlit with two levels of brightness. No problems using laptop in pitch-dark conditions.n9. Dolby Stereo Audio: It’s a plus and speakers are good enough for audio/video chat conversationsn10. Webcam: Strictly ok in terms of resolution of webcam. But nice feature to make laptop complete.n11. Lenovo Gestures: Lenovo gestures software allows you to control the laptop with air gestures. Haven’t used it much and in my opinion is not something that is very useful.nnCons:nn1. Body: The finishing is bit-plasticky. Does not look elite like MacBook. But, I guess that’s understandable to keep cost down. Flex series with Intel Core i5 has metal body but costly too.n2. Touch Pad: Touch Pad is not good. It feels loose and is sometimes unresponsive. n3. Cooling vents at bottom: There are cooling vents at the bottom of the laptop (two on side as well). The laptop has not heated up for me but may need cooling pad if it is going to be used non-stop for extended periods of time.n4. No dedicated graphics processor: It only has in-built Intel HD graphics. Heavy graphic intensive games may not work well. I am not an avid gamer so cannot comment much. I was able to play NFS Most Wanted with 1024x768 resolution with no lag.

I have just bought this laptop from WS Retail. Got it for 33500 using citibank credit card. Best price no doubt.nnI just went to lenovo website. Those who are looking to buy this laptop, go for it. You will get 2 year extended warranty on this free of cost. WS retail says its for 1499. The extended warranty coverage means 2 years extended CUSTOMER CARRY IN WARRANTY and 1 Year Accidental Damage Protection.nnMake sure you buy from WS Retail as others selling lenovo laptops on flipkart are not eligible to give you this offer.nnHappy Buying. At one place in description its written that the processor is 1.9GHz and at other place its written that the processor is 1.7GHz.nThis is the product with flipkart and other sites, even the product description is not proper.nWhat can we expect about service.

Firstly I would request Flipkart to improve on the Specifications aspect of a laptop. I had called up the Customer helpdesk to enquire whether laptop bag is included in this laptop packaging. They told me NO but to my pleasant surprise a Lenovo backpack was included in the package.nSalient features of the laptop:nProsn1. Lightweight-1.7 kg excluding the charger, thus easy to carry around .A welcome break from the 2.7 kg monster laptop that I carried earlier.n2.Display- Full HD. Yes, you read it right. A laptop under 40k with full HD display. Sharp images, fonts-treat for the eyes.n3. Boot time: Max 20 seconds due to the 8GB SSD. Super fast indeed.n4. Keyboard: Chiclet style keyboard. Soft keys, where typing is a breeze. It has backlit keyboard-thus typing at night is a cakewalk. Very useful feature as far as I am concerned.nnConsn1. Battery life- Around 3.5 hours. Not enough but decent for home use.n2. No optical drive. Thus might be a deal breaker for some users.nnOne of the best laptops in its category. Go for it. Availed of the exchange offer, which was very convenient. Delivery was next day-amazing service.

I got this knowing there was no optical drive. Shouldn't crib about it.nnWhat I love about this laptop:n1) Boots up in 7 seconds flat because of SSD storage for OS (only).n2) Full HD touch screenn3) Backlit keyboard - great for typing with lights outn4) Reasonably light - quite convenient to carry in a back pack and work at a coffee shop :)n5) Came with free high quality backpackn6) The time I bought it, it came with an offer to extend warranty by an additional year and an offer to buy a Lenovo smartphone for only 1K. Took both offers. The phone is quite good for the price :)n7) No heating for low to moderately high usage. Very nice.nnWhat I don't like:n1) Casing feels flimsy - though it won't come offn2) Just five hours battery life max. n3) Importantly - Lenovo shipped this laptop with malware. The malware sits in your computer and snoops all web traffic. Unbelievable. It also comes with a SSL certificate preinstalled so it can snoop on encrypted traffic as well. (search for lenovo superfish). Lenovo screwed up big time because I didn't know about this for long. Who would suspect? Later on I was able to clean up everything. But the flipside is the OS that is backed up in the recovery area still has this malware. So if you restore, it gets restored back. Bummer!n4) Flipkart pricing was very erratic. One day it was 38K. Another time it was 42k the next day. At writing, its 37k - I would say its a very good buy at this rate.
