Just received this earlier today, thanks flipkart for excellent service as always ! Few things that matter: 1] This particular model - 59-429729 - has a Full HD IPS panel with touch. Full HD as in 1080p (1920x1080). Just above it says 1366x768 but don't worry, this is indeed a FHD display. 2] Keyboard layout is exactly what I wanted so I am happy with it but its going to be a pain for big size palms. It will take some time to get used to. Keyboard is backlit. 3] Ubuntu 14.04 is up and running fine :) (I installed it, laptop has windows 8.1) 1 star is missing from my ratings because of less RAM, could use 8GB be default, wouldn't mind paying for it :-)
Just got this laptop from flipkart and found that this particular laptop does not have any optical drive (cd/dvd writer slot). This point may be useful for the new buyers of this model.
Flipkart : Please publish this Its almost 2 months now that I had bought this Laptop. I had also paid the additional 999 for the smartphone offer redemption. I haven't heard anything from them since the last 20-25 days. The only thing that was provided to me was the additional 2 yrs warranty and that's it. I still can't believe that a big name like Lenovo is playing this kind of cheating games with the customers. The phone numbers provided for the phone offer has stopped working since the day Lenovo has discontinued this offer also the email addresses does not give any response. The store I bought is a Lenovo store in Civil Lines area Gurgaon, when I went to them they simply said their job is to sell these Laptops and not entertain customers, for any issues we need to get in touch with Lenovo Customer Care, which again redirects the owner to someone else. I feel its a scam and I have fallen prey to it. For the Laptop rest all is good after 2 months of usage, but the touch and the keyboard are the pain points here. They are getting bad everyday and doesn't seem to match up with the otherwise high standards of the Laptop. **************************************************************************************************** I have recently bought this product on Jan 21 though not from Flipkart but from a Lenovo exclusive store at a very competitive price. I had actually visited the shop with Z50-70 Laptop strongly in my mind but once I saw a demo of Flex 2, both me and my wife had fallen in love with this device. It looks super light at less than 2kg but is extremely powerful in terms of the configuration. 1. A 14" FHD IPS display with such eye catching resolution can instantly rule your heart even before it starts to perform its core functionality. 2. 8 GB SSD along with 500 GB HDD makes it lightning fast while it boots up. 3. Every bit of 4 GB DDR3 RAM outperforms each other while you work in the Ultrabook. 4. 4th Gen Ci5 it works as smooth as butter; as of now no lag no wait time. 5. Win 8.1 seems amusing to me since I am pretty new to this genre of mobile OS. 6. Have not pushed the abilities of the 2GB N-Vidia yet but I have a gut feeling that it will be a winner too in this kind of supporting configuration. 7. Touch is slightly short of being extremely good but that should be an open item for a longer run. I am hoping that it will stay same in the future too. 8. The winner amongst all of these items is though the free 3 years warranty along with this Ultrabook, infact that is the game changer where most other companies available don't prefer to provide the same. The touchpad seemed a bit hard though as of now but I am assuming it to be better in the near future. 8GB RAM could be made a standard in this product. Apps provided are not out of the world, though I shouldn't call them hopeless but I am still to find any use in practical world as most of them are application dependent. Backpack provided is strictly okay and won't be very comfortable for tall people. Other freebies like dongle and a smartphone at a reasonable cost is okay and makes the overall deal pretty attractive and complete. Overall my final verdict for this would be : Once you buy this you would definitely feel proud to own such a machine which is a powerhouse wrapped in a beautiful ultrabook look.
Bought this product from Flipkart. Got it a day before the expected delivery date. The product is good and stable, touch is nice as well, picture quality is brilliant. It start up and shut down time is extremely low, though I have not installed anything major on it yet. The battery charges very quick and battery back up is great as well.
I had bought Lenovo Flex2 14 laptop one month back, I was informed by Lenovo that I will be eligible for Peace of mind offer, by giving extra 999/- Rs I will get Lenovo Mobile Rockstar. I had made payment and received confirmation from Lenovo. They told they will ship the mobile with 3-4 working days. Now I am waiting for one month till now i did not receive the product. The special customer care for this offer is not picking up the phone, and not responding to any mails.
