Beware There is no SSDThey're lying in your face

Touch pad is really bad. You need to practise for a long time before you can right click. This teaches you the virtue of being patient. The keyboard is really good. It is really incredible that Lenovo can lie like that and get away with it. I told their customer service that I would like to get my SSD and also that I'd like my OS to be on the SSD. They refused to see the real problem (absence of SSD) and blamed it as an OS issue. I would be fine if they asked me to bring the laptop to their service centre where they can install an SSD. There has been no response from them since then. This is the first Lenovo product that I have used. They've decide to make it my last. My take: Good for business users. Decent in all other aspects. Beware of Lenovo support. 4 stars for product. 1 for flipkart. -4 for Lenovo brand.

Do not buy very poor performance

This is still my first week with this laptop. Except for the ego of owning i7+ claimed 6 hour battery life I would hesitate from recommending the extra spend for this. I was expecting better speed for i7 but get a speed same as i5 any gen and a battery life of 3 hours without any major apps loaded against claimed 6 hours. Pros Rugged laptop, config sounds good Cons Battery life I hope improves, touchpad is average The laptop does not have serial number etc sticker on bottom panel- found it on the cardboard box. Warranty is 1 year comprehensive and 2 year limited to repairs 4 months after purchase: consistently very poor performance for no known reason. Too much Lenovo bloatware. Tried every trick including trying to check if any malware using state of art anti viruses but no issue, reduced software to pretty much bare essentials as well as service center advice so far no impact. I will ask for exchange if service center gives up.

Careful about the battery time

I purchased this product a month ago from Flipkart, got it before the promised time.. 4GB RAM was not adequate for the video editing. So I upgraded to 8 GB. There was a free memory slot. Battery back up is only for 4 hrs with the WFi turned off and in power saving mode. Net surfing, it lasts 3.5 hrs. Video play back; it lasts only 2hrs. Happy with the build and speed. Why should Lenovo mention battery life as 8 hrs and lose its credibility?

Awesome Laptop Good configuration and build quality

An excellent buy. This is a laptop with true quad core i7 processor. All other i7 laptops in this price range are dual core processors. Compare CPU benchmarks to understand the CPU power of this beast! That said, this power is not at all useful for an average user. The thinkpad edge series has better build quality than almost all other laptops in this price range. Only Dell's vostro series has comparable build quality and that is more costlier. I'm happy with the 2GB GT740M graphics card and 500GB disk. I would upgrade to a SSD whenever budget permits! I did not like the glossy screen at all, strangely no manufacture provides matte screen laptops. I connect it to an external monitor for this reason alone. The 4GB RAM is too basic and not sufficient for a performance laptop of this range. And there are no free RAM slots in this laptop, so have to replace a 2GB RAM to upgrade. All in all this is a great buy for people using CPU hogging applications or for a entry level gaming laptop.

Not so great

Laptop is 3 out of 5. Nothing really great about it. Touchpad is damn worst then anything in the world. Core i7 processor, behaving like a Core i5 Keyboard normal (as for any laptop) RAM is less touch is fine, it will pass Graphichs are ok. Not complaining about them. In all not so bad. But nothing great like I heard of ThinkPad.
