About me:- I have previously used a HP and Dell laptop, this is my first Lenovo Laptop.nnAbout Lenovo:-nThey are the largest PC manufacturing company in the entire Planet Earth.nThey have acquired the hardware division of IBM.nnOther best option:- nDell inspiron 15 3521nnPros:-na)Original Windows 8, Free upgrade to 8.1 and after the 8.1 update Start up time from shutdown is 10seconds!! Iam not joking.nb)1TB hard disc space.nc)1Gb graphicsnd) Dolby speakers, pretty loud and the effects are goodne) Non glossy design of laptop, All black nf) Full island chicklet type Spill proof keyboardng) 2usb 3.0, 1 usb 2.0, hdmi, bluetooth 4.0 & Optical drive.nh) large air vent, super cool, unlike HP, Dell, etc.nnCons:-na) Heavy if compared with other co's laptopnb) web cam is averagenc) Due to matte finish its prone to finger print.nd) Glossy display, would have loved it if it was a matte one.nnSmall review:-nThe initial boot takes time after the windows 8 youcan updateto the 8.1 from the microsoft store the file size is 3.6gb.nnThe start up time measured using a stop watch is 10.5seconds, which is awesome.nnI compared this A4 5000 processor with the i3 3rd gen from a processor comparing site, and A4 Quadcore is slightly better than i3 in some case and vice versa. But i didnt want to pay extra for intel, cause i have a desktop with Amd processor and its working fine for more than 5 years,so i trust AMD.nnI don't play games on laptop, cause i have xbox, but i played Counter strike source, NFS most wanted (old) and cricket 07, all worked in high settings.nnFor basic users this laptop is more than enough, i generally use it for browsing, movies, documents and basic stuffs.nnIt has a 6cell battery which easily provides backup above 4 hours, though i didnt test it, Ill test and update soon.nnLENOVO has pre installed energy management software which is excellent as it has 3 modes from which you can choose, wich alters te processor and other settings to save battery.nnThere is no longer need to press Function key and then perform functions like volume, brightness, Cause directly it works.nnThe dolby speakers are very loud, louder than the dell SRS.nnThe laptop runs very cool and quiet.nnThats about it, I guess i have covered everything. Dont worry, the laptop is a good performer,and windows 8 is not so bad if you get used to it. If any thing goes wrong with the laptop there is a one key recovery system.nnI Have compared this laptop with my Friends i5 2nd gen Dell Inspiron 15r, and it performs all basic stuffs faster or at same time and this laptop is cheaper by 10000rs.nnThank you.
this laptop is NOT for above average users;nAMD's cheat tag is that its a quad core clocked at a constant speed. [ONLY 1.5 GHz]. NO OVERCLOCKING! [NOT 1.5GHz x 4 cores]nnhowever it is enough for daily uses.nnthe speakers are fine, Less Heat emmission, GREAT battery backup, NIce KeypadnnA bit heavy :-/ overall its a fine lappy with lags now and then.
Got this product, n1) Finish - Good finish and meant for rugged use.n2) Battery - lasts for 3 hrs with full use,n3) Display - nothing greatn4) Speed - not too great, think should have bought AMD A8 processor, this one is slower than core i3(1st gen) processor in my old laptopnLenovo has partitioned the disk in a crazy manner - C drive (900 GB) with win8 and D drive 20 GB full of lenovo drivers and apps..upgraded to windows 8.1 and now feels better..nOverall an average Laptop that might suffice basic needs but definitly not recommended for anyone looking for speed.

Delivery : First of all hats of to flip-kart delivery. Ordered on 14th August morning, received on 16th Morning. nnPackaging: The outside packaging was bit damaged, but the inside laptop carton was in mint condition with bubble wrapping. The laptop had original Lenovo seal intact.nnLaptop look and feel: The laptop appeared bulky and because of the 15inch screen, which explains it weight. The keyboard is well laid out with numeric keypad. I am not sure of the keyboard is spill proof. The plastic material does not look sturdy enough as the screen gets wavy if pressed from outside the laptop. The bottom portion is quite good and strong.nThe touch pad for cursor operations is not very responsive, but it does it jobs.nnWorking of the Laptop: The laptop does not get heated up at all, so that is a big plus. The screen is bright enough, and the volume, brightness can be controlled directly from the function keys. Very low on noise. Battery back up is 5 to 6 hours as it shows on the screen in full charge. nnSoftware: The laptop came with windows 8,and lots of software from Lenovo, The antivirus is only for 1 month. We can upgrade to windows 8.1 for free from the Windows 8 app store. 2 issues cape up after upgrade. - AMD Catalyst Control center stopped working. - Had to visit the AMD site to download the latest Catalyst control software. The battery was showing plugged but not charging at 50%. - This was because of Lenovo power management where it maximizes the battery life, but not charring it to ful 100%. - Can be changed easily thorugh settings.nnLaptop Bag - A Laptop bag came for free. - The material for the bag is top quality, however in the laptop case there not enough cushion to protect the laptop, if the bag is dropped accidentally.nnAMD Processer - Those thinking between intel and AMD - I suggest you can go for AMD unless if you are planning to use the laptop for parallel processing and high end gaming. - Not of much noticeable difference. nnPrice - I got the laptop for a price of 27K. One complain is that in the website it said that laptop price 37 to 38K, and there was a discount of 11k, however the original MRP on the laptop is 33K. Quesiton - Is flipkart raising the price beyond MRP and then offering discount ? However it was good deal at 27K with good configuration and Windows 8.nnBilling and Invoice - 1 key important is the invoice you received has the Serial number mentioned in the invoice. - This a key point to claim warranty as per lenovo site.nnWarranty - The lenovo warranty was pre-activated, so it had 350 days warranty left. nnOverall a good product and satisfied customer here.
