Nice product at this price

This is good product with excellent processing power. I can simultaneously run 2 virtual machines with win 7 and linux os with win 8 os. The only problem is less memory RAM for such a configuration the memory provided is less.

An excellent laptop

I am a programmer and I need heavyweight hardware to run my rig. Because of my budget constraints, I researched a lot on the Internet before buying this laptop. I was a bit apprehensive of the fact that AMD processors gets overheated. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that the overheating thing was more of a myth than reality. I tested the laptop using loaded J2EE servers (WAS, Weblogic) and IDE's like JDeveloper, which needs a lot of horsepower. This laptop runs them without any lags. I had to upgrade the RAM to another 4GB. I haven't really checked the graphics performance as I am not much of a gamer. Linux installation is a snap with this laptop. However be aware of the Dual graphics config and Linux. To install linux smoothly, enable UMA graphics from BIOS and then go with the install. After Linux is installed, update with latest AMD drivers. That should run it nicely. The keyboard is a bit of a problem. But you get used to the accutype keyboards eventually. Battery is a bit of a problem. You can expect 2.5/3 hours of decent usage with the battery. All in all a fantastic product at such a bargain price.
