Hi, i am Avinash Kulkarni… I bought Lenovo G580 laptop on December 10, 2012… then it started giving problem… it was not starting at all on june 19… so i filed a complaint on june 20 and company excecutive said me that i’ll get assistance within 2 business days, but engineer came after 15 days and changed motherboard.. at that time he dameged the keyboard and some screws.. and the problem was as it is… then aftr 2-3 days another engineer came and he changed the the processor.. now the problem is both mother board and the processor are of less capacity than the previous one which i had.. and company is saying that they have given me the same part.
Hi Guys,nnI found this product defective. The WiFi is not working. As I informed this to Flipkart, but they respond it as they have no risk once sold. Because I immediately informed Flipkart within 5 days of delivery after checking.. But its around 22 days but they have not replaced the product yet. I think Flipkart should not do like this as they are promising a 30 days replacement. Also I rechecked the product with one of Lenovo Service Center as per Flipkart's wish and they also said the same thing that the WIFI card is defected. But they are not yet replaced the product. So I am suffering a lot as I am fully dependable upon the laptop. Now I cross my finger...nnthanks,nSaumya
Got this superb product 3 weeks back and I am very much happy with Laptop and Flipkart's service. nnOn this product - n1. Intel I3 3rd Gen 2.5 GHz processor works very well. Had been multitasking various processes and Intel has not disappointed me.n2. 2 GB RAM - Have installed Win 7 and yes I feel I need to add 2 GB to my system to make it 4GB. I guess if I install linux, 2 GB might be enough for my use.n3. 1 TB HDD - It's huge. I have most of my songs/movie/personal backup on my systemn4. Battery backup - This is one of the reason why I went to Lenovo. It provides around 4 hours of backup. I feel in this range HP is another one who provides such battery backup.nNot sure of others.nnOverall very much value for money. I would recommend this product.nn- AG
A good configuration and quite good a laptop if you can look past the touch pad. The touch pad is over sensitive and behaves erratically (Gets 'selected or clicked' with the slightest variation in touch, can get messy at times). But if you do not or can not carry around a mouse, then look for other models paying 2-3k extra. You can just disable the tap function in the touch pad properties as well, and use the left click key instead. The design is old but a powerful configuration inside.
except for too sensitive elan touchpad which freaks one out, this package is a good budget laptop...2gb ram might be too less ..but you have a slot free to add later...still if you can shell out a few quids more, then i5 with 4gb should definitely be your choice
