Hi everyonenI am a user of Lenovo idea pad s510p and I managed to get this laptop with 4GB ram at Rs. 35,000 and I have been using it for last one month.nREVIEW:n1. LOOKS: fab, scratch less body, metal palm rest, slimn2. SCREEN: sharp and crisp 15.6 inch screenn3. KEYBOARD: good spacing, num padn4. PROCESSING: if you are satisfied with Intel Pentium 4, core i3 2120, 3110m than it will never let you down. It gives good transfer speed (I got maximum up to 72 Mbps). BUT IT HAS SOME TECHNOLOGY THAT IS USELESS NOW BUT WILL BE HELPFUL IN FUTURE, SO IT???S JUST LIKE A FUTURE INVESTMENTn5. SOFTWARE: Onekey recovery (no need of external backup of operating system)n Energy manager (also works as dust remover)n Mcafee internet security (30 days trial)n Microsoft office 2013 (30 days trial)n6. GAMING: Intel HD 4400 is 15% better than AMD Radeon HD 8670m and 5% better than Intel HD 4600. I have played GTA SAN ANDREAS on very high setting with no lags (doesn???t tried any other game yet)n7. BATTERY: I don???t know much more about this, it gives me 4 hours of movie and recharges in about 100 minutesn8. HEATING: NOHEATING ISSUE, just a little bit warm on hours of usennREMARK: dont look for any other laptop and waste your time like me, go for itnn**UPDATE:Those who are Giving 1 or 2 stars, they arejust not giving the reason of their disappointment so, DONTS BELIEVE THEM.

This is my 2nd laptop. I use it for normal personal activities daily, like browsing, documents, movie, music. This laptop is very much apt for my usage. It is fast, cool, light weight. Compared with my old dell inspiron, this is a lot cooler. The place where we rest our palm while typing is quite cool. Keypad is good, though bit noisy. I got an external keyboard and mouse, which is bit easier. Pros: Fast boot-up (win 8.1), Cool, light weight. Palm resting area is quite cool even after long use, which is very good i think. Fans are silent, though i'm not sure how they will be after a year or more. Display is good. Cons: Keys are bit noisy while typing. No other problems or cons so far. Overall: I would definitely recommend this laptop for normal personal use. The Lenovo battery manager is good esp the conservative mode which claims to improve battery life.
laptop is amazing...battery life is approximately 4 to 4.5 hrs...im writing review after using this laptop for 2weeks.. first i will discuss cons: 1. u hav to upgrade ram,otherwise it will be little slow.i added 4gb,so total 6gb. 2. wen u work on laptop,palm rest area will catches dirt..so u hav to clean this regularly. 3. wen u register in lenovo website for warranty it show around 230 days,for having 1 year warranty u hav to send invoice scan copy to lenovo care id..after 2 working days ur warranty will be 1 year from day of purchase. 4. camera quality is not upto the mark,noise in the images wen u come to pros: 1. laptop is very very slim,u cant even expect slimness... 2. it is silent like manmohan singh and work like Narendra modi ;-) :-P 3. there is no heating problem.
Real bad experience buying this ideapad, right from starting have spotted LED screen dark spots which became bigger within 5 days - When I tried to return the laptop to the seller - FUTURETECH they conveniently rejected by request suggesting this is LENOVO problem and that manufacturer warranty should cover this issue - more over they gave me different invoice so that I can contact LENOVO service center (beware invoice you recieve for your costly electronic gadgets might be fake one). Flipkart should also stop cheating in the name of FAKE '10 day replace guarantee' stuffnnTo complete my sorrow, LENOVO told I needed some accidental protection plan to cover this issue as its not covered under normal 1year warranty scheme. It seems I should even have put my thumb on screen as that is what damages this. Wakeup , Don't fall in ditch like me.
