Outside India, this laptop is very popular among students and academic stuffs. However, AMD version is a very basic old version with slower processing and heating problems. Nowadays it is available with intel i3-3rd generation processor in more popular red color in the market, coming with nice features of 4GB RAM-1600, 500GB HDD (7200 rpm), 1.9 GHz clock speed. So, Flipkart can add it in its stock. It is much better than the AMD version of X131e. To limit the price within an accepted value, DOS versions can be attempted.
Overall good netbook, with decent build quality for this price but lacks a powerful CPU to support basic uses such as browsing, watching videos. The battery is slightly disappointing and on full load it can eat it all in less than 2 hours. The idle use lasted for 5hours for me. The screen brightness is not a lot so difficult to use in sunlit area. I'm using Fedora on it, the overall compatibility is okay. Trackpoint may need xorg rules. The most disappointing feature is the processor, it does not perform and even for basic activities like browsing and watching videos (HD) it can fail from time to time. The sink/fan mechanisms and not as good as macbooks, it heats up and temperatures are around 60-70C during normal usage. If you're willing to buy, get the Intel/Corei3 version.
hi, I have bought X131e AMD laptop and this is great product. This is Light weight with good processing power and best feature is great battery backup it last for more than 6 hrs.
Small but powerful. Dual core AMD performs amazingly with a x64 windows 7 ultimate. Total value for money, spillproof keyboard, shock resistant. A very hardcore laptop. Small, effective and powerful !!
I have bought x131e with amd processor and experience is pretty good. Thinkpad x series at this price point is a real steal. What I like best is amazing battery backup of more than 6 hrs and protective band. I'm happy with speed and 4gb memory is good enough for all applications
