IN THE 7TH HEAVEN

first very good packing and delivary from flipkart ,only took a mere 3 days for delivery(BOUGHT FROM WS RETAIL). about the machine its unbelievable configuration at jaw dropping price .. look at the configuration i5 4200u :best combination of power and energy efficiency geoforce gt840m :its the biggest surprise of this package at this price point.even 10k or 12k higher priced laptops are offering only gt740m which is a very old card released in 2012 the perfomance of 840m is much better. i have only got time to play 2 games crisis 3 and hitman (2012) and they performed very well i even got decent fps at high settings .really mind blowing experience about the rest 1tb hdd +4gb ram is more than enough at this price point and next about finish its a plain aluminium like finish for back cover and the keyboard structure finish is a mat metallic finish believe me its very beautiful than the shown picture and next about screen its an okay deal outdoor viewing in sunlight is average but indoors its more than enough also the viewing angles also gr8.. only one thing that worries me is the 2 usb 2.0 ports and warranty issues in the lenovo site they are showing only 1yr warranty but its eligible for 3year warranty extension i tried by lenovo site but cannot do it please help me Soumya nandi to sort it out if possible please include the steps for registering warranty extrension LAST WORD : ITS BANG FOR THE BUCKS GO FOR IT BLINDFOLDED ....ELSE ITS YOUR LOSS BUDDIES ...

Best under 43k

i have purchased one just before 1 week ago . it's really a awesome product under 43k made by lenovo MINEn comes with i5 4210U CPU not with 4200U. i bought it from a local retailer at just for 42,500 with win 8.1 64 bit (Not fully active) with bag included. it gives 5+ hour backup in powersave mode but still getting 3+ hour backup in high performance mode with 64 bit win 8.1 . i got silver colour which looks totally awesome . and it's GPU N15S-GT means Nvidia GT-840M is best in this price range which can handle all present graphics intensive games at medium setting . i will suggest you to just buy this with closed eyes if you are looking something under 43k . with package 64bit win 8.1 drivers are given with a CD , so i will suggest you to install win 8.1 64bit . but win 7( 32bit and 64bit ,win 8(32bit and 64 bit) and win 8.1 64bit drivers are listed on lenovo official website . i just posted review with help purpus. i hope it will be helpful because just 10 days ago i was the biggest noob in lappy thing .thanks

Great Product!! Bang for the bucks

All specifications given here are true. i5 with 4GB RAM and 2GB NVIDIA GT840M Graphics. For availing the 3 years warranty, you need to register on lenovopromo.net not lenovowarrantyupgrade.com A great performer for such a low cost

Really great laptop.

Review for my lenovo z50-70nI am a computer science engg. student and was looking for a laptop with good specs and decent build quality under Rs-50,000/- it was then that I came across this laptop. I bought it from a local store for Rs 43,000/- with 1920x1080 display, core i5 ,4 GB RAM, 2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE,1 TB HDD, DOS. I got 2 year warranty extension as part of Diwali offer.nThis is just a great laptop with a perfect blend of specs and build quality for this price.nnBuild quality – is really great and you’ll be more than satisfied if you are not expecting a premium product for this price. The laptop feels really solid in hands. The base-unit feels very sturdy with really solid and (premium looking) plastic cover for the underside and brushed aluminium around the keyboard area. Only the lid cover of the top-unit exhibits some flex upon application of force, but I think this is way better than many laptops within this price range in this regard. The screen bezel area is good but if you press a bit hard then some ripples do appear around the display edges. Overall the build quality is really good and won’t give you any problems if you can handle the laptop with some care and don’t intend to use it as a rugged business machine or is expecting a premium product (in which case you may go for a Thinkpad or a Macbook and spend a premium).nThe hinges are also nice considering the price range. But it wobbles a bit when under a fan.nOnly the DVD tray seems relatively flimsy and I think this is the case with most consumer laptops.nnDesign- Oh man , I’m already in love with this one. Mine is a white one/silver (maybe a typo but some sites do refer to black ones as silver, so be careful before making an order) and it looks very beautiful. Not many laptops at this range offer such good looks. You can fool a noob into thinking that this is a premium laptop by the looks and feel.nPerformance- Sorry but haven’t thrown up my lap any heavy tasks to test this(just 3 days). You may check out notebookcheck reviews for that.nnKeyboard- This is an area where individual reviews won’t do you any good. You must go to a brick and mortar store to have a look at the keyboard. nMany people have complained of a flexible keyboard tray. But personally I don’t feel it as a really nagging problem. Its present only at some areas around the middle and it doesn’t bother me at all. I even suspect mine to be a new rectified model as the flex is not even easily noticeable in my case. (Please don’t throw any sticks and stones at me)nNow regarding the keys, they do feel flimsy with some clattering noise while typing and I was disappointed at first but then, I pressed them hard and found they had a good solid base. This is actually the case with even more expensive models these days ,unless you are using a Thinkpad or a Macbook.nnDisplay- is glossy and as with all glossy displays can give you problems if there are many light sources in your room or you are outside in the sun . I was prepared for it before buying this laptop. nnI was initally a bit disappointed about the colour reproduction but then I changed the default settings and now its okay.My friend has got a calibrator and I’ll be giving it a try soon. As of now I can’t make any comments in this regard. If you work is related to animation or photography you may go to a local store calibrate the color using some calibrator and then make a decision.nnThe viewing angles are not that good as is the case with all TN displays.( that is, don’t expect a display quality like in most LCD Tv’s and smartphones these days).nMine is full HD 1920x1800 diplay which I bought from a local store for Rs-43,000/-. And it is really good for reading e-books and lines of code while programming.nnBattery- Sorry, haven’t tested this in detail. But gave about 3.5 hours under power saver mode with brightness set to ¾.nnHeating- The laptop stays cool and remains very silent for general browsing and text editing. Refer notebookcheck reviews for an extensive review.nnTrackpad and buttons-are okay. The buttons are good but the trackpad surface is slighly rough and hence sometimes causes abrupt changes. I am going to try a smooth trackpad sticker.(protector)nnNote: Don't be put off by some of the reviews at notebookcheck other than those of performance as they can sometimes be deceiving for someone looking for a non-premium product.nnOverall this is a great laptop for the price.

One of the best in class

Purchased from Flipkart (WS Retail). Firstly, service. Very quick and safety packaging.nAbout Product-nAll the mentioned configurations are correct. Processor variant is 4200u (and not 4210u as mentioned by one of the reviewer). Writing the review after 4 days of moderate usage. nFew of the points are worth mention here (both pros and cons)-n1.Laptop is silver in colour, so need to handle with care or it might get dirty. But, overall its elegant in look.n2.Runs cool. No heating issue. Heats little bit only during heavy gaming.n3.Lenovo customer care helped me to install the OS (win 8.1) on lap. Service is good.n4.1 year on site warranty. At first need to register on lenovo site or call toll free care centre number!n5.There are enough ports for various connections. VGA as well as HDMI port. Hard reset button is there as well.n6.Quite disappointed with keyboard quality. While pressing key, the lower metallic base is some what pressed downwards.(Is it flexible keyboard? !!! :))n7.Metallic finish around the keyboard feels premium. Outer surface of display is silver painted. Not bad.n8.Build quality is awesome. Lenovo is always known for its ruggedness. n9.Nvidia GeForce 840M is higher variant of graphics card .(similar class other laptops usually contains 820M or lower versions)n10.Though other models in same budget have slightly higher variant of processor, this is more than enough. 840m Graphics card takes care of high end gaming. n11.Sound is not that good. Use some better headphone or external speakers.n12.I got a "Lenovo Laptop Bag" also !! (Not sure about other sellers)n13.Expandable RAM upto 16 gb.n14. Screen viewing angle are not satisfactory. n15.It doesn't seems to be a "Chinese" one, though its manufactured in china !! Its a quality product..!n As a Satisfied customer, I should say GO FOR IT! ( Final choice is yours*). ;)
