This laptop has been launched only on 12 August 2016 and surprisingly 48 ratings have been written and of which 45 have given 5 stars !!!!!!. Doesn't appear honest reviews. Flipkart must have some policy to publish genuine customers' reviews.
Does not have dvd drive. Did not notice that while buying. Finish ok. But touch pad bad. Cursor moves on its own at times. Keyboard not very well laid. The enter key is too small.nScreen resolution is not as good as my 8 year old Acer laptop which I exchanged for this one. Processing speed and battery backup seems good.
I had ordered this for my sister. The product has the best features in its price class + sold solely on flipkart and it's written flipkart ASSURED, so wow.... I ordered it. My sister received the product with a damaged display (display was turning red green and on off when the moving he lid- "OK there might be something wrong in shipping or packaging or manufacturing - these things happens".. Let's apply for REPLACEMENT.. Now the worst part begins... the fun begins here.. The pick-up guy comes and asks for a serial number on the back of laptop- ***Stunner 1: there is no serial number sticker on back of laptop. Ok some delivery process might have forgotten to put on a sticker- happens. OK... lets find the serial number using BIOS command "wmic bios get serialnumber" ***Stunner 2: there isn't a serial number there also. This even the pick up guy noticed. ***Stunner 3: the pick up guy refuses to collect the same defective product given by flipkart without seeing the serial number. OK.. maybe something wrong from the manufacturer... happens... The pick up guy isn't coordinating with flipkart team and gives a brilliant idea to call the customer support to my sister (We have purchased it from flipkart- so we have to suffer). So my sister calls and the customer support assures they will look onto it within 48 hrs and we are happy that it will be resolved. So for some reasons they try calling my sister to solve the problem, who has classes to attend in morning hours. ***Stunner 4: even after repeatedly telling that she has to attend classes and she cant pick up the phone during those times what they do? They call once during day time sometime (which you can't back call), and drop me a mail saying "we tried reaching you but you weren't available". Even the pick up guy supposed to collect the product doe the same thing. Ok... it happens .. let bear with it... So finally after few days the pick up guy comes. ***Stunner 5: The pick up guy asks for the serial number at the back of the laptop. WTF what???.... what problem were you solving?... Do the flipkart people even care what the problem is? What is my sister supposed to do- print out a serial number sticker and paste on it? Wow... now I am loosing hope.... and worried if I am cheated with a fake product. Again my sister makes bunch of calls to customer care restating everything again--- suffer suffer and suffer more. they cant coordinate between themselves, we have to do it. Then my sister notices a sticker on the charger instead of back of laptop... asks if that solves the problem.. they say NO.. it has to be on back side of laptop. OKK... that might be some other number... After almost about 2 weeks of beating around the bush, I get frustrated and make them a call, totally frustrated. ***Stunner 6: Finally they decide---- the product can't be replaced.... They decide to refund the amount. Finally some relief after the torment... Now: I have regularly bought from flipkart, never faced such frustration. ******Imagine I had faced any problem with the laptop after few months within warranty... and then they would have asked for the golden serial number.... Dead end.... just throw that product into garbage cause it might be totally fake. The product features are good (I am almost always tempted TO ORDER IT AGAIN)... but i seriously doubt on the team (flipkart + micromax) to deliver the product. I can't dare to do it again..... A sincere question to flipkart team: How do you think you can compete with amazon? All you can have is advantage of better customer service and reliability. Amazon can and will throw you out of the market by pumping in more and more money. They already have almost all products selling at cheaper prices than what is mentioned on your site. And product replacement "within 7 days, no question asked!!" The only way to compete is by winning customers.... It is really sad to see an Indian company in shits... I want to buy from fipkart ... but y would I? I even seriously doubt ... they will put up my review..... Anyways I hope they improve... and stop troubling customers
The laptop as a whole is more than excellence for the normal users. Except the presence of the CD/ DVD drive all other specifications is simply superb.
I received my product today, and there is no button to open DVD writer. I complained to Micromax helpline and they also do not know about it. There was also no option to open from my computer. Driver is missing I think. But at least there is a need of a button to open DVD writer. And please don't buy from Flipkart they are not going to help you. I m going to uninstall the app as they are cheating with customers. Also I will ask my friends to do the same . Shame on you Flipkart
