i bought this device a month ago, i was pretty much impressed with the options. but the outcome quality is too bad. it gets discharged quicker and charges like a snail. if you are a traveller this is not your cup of chai.
1. the tablet remains waste if you are going to use it in tablet mode for any productivity based applications 2. i experience force close error on heavy excel files with macros. i was never successful in loading this type of file. my main purpose of purchasing this is for ms office usage. 3. on screen keyboard on tablet mode hides half of your screen without moving the screen upwards. it will be difficult for you to fill e forms as on screen keyboard hides half screen. 4. in windows 10 i get a error from windows that setting resolution below 1200 * 900 will make some items invisible. the max resolution for this laptab is 1280 * 800. an important third party application used by me hides some coloumns. 5. the sound quality is too poor, even i cant hear with fans switched off 6. i have asked for refund from flipkart. but too much of procedures from flipkart unlike amazon who once initiated refund of my xbox 360 purchase immediately after call 7. refund of the product is still in processing stage. 8. i wouldnt recommend it to anyone except those who are crazy over fancy gadgets. 9. only good thing about this laptab is keyboard and ips screen quality, other than this nothing is good. even basic office usage is difficult. 10. made a wrong decision by buying this. dont know whether i will get a refund
What pains me to say is besides the atom processor in this crap box.. nothing is made out of an ounce of quality.. dont regret it later.. donot buy this... ps.you cant even find drivers for this.. i found one from asus's site... give me zero stars and ill pic that...but since i cant i selected one
The tablet overview: features intel atom processor, 2 GB ram, 32 GB memory, win 8.1 - upgradable to win 10 (OTA), office with 365 1 year subsciption. The advantages: 1) Keyboard and track pad. It is really not fun to use windows without the keyboard and mouse. not to me at least. Windows 10 supports a tablet view and a desktop view both of which are functional. 2) Office is fully functional, one of the biggest plus point of windows ecosystem. 3) Expandable memory Disadvantages: 1) No GPS. This device does not support it. 2) No calling facility, but it supports 3g sim. 3) The screen is bit washed out. It is difficult to use it in the sun. The resolution does not help either. 4) Speakers are tiny and volume is excessively low. You can barely hear it unless you have a headphone. 5) Windows app ecosystem. You should be ready for this if you are buying this. No youtube, no google services run properly. Speedtest app is also absent -which I use often to check broadband and 3g speeds. Though the browser is fully functional and you can access everything through the browser (which supports flash which in india at least is still a big deal). 6) USB support is there but does not support external hard disk. Verdict: It is very frustrating to jump from a android tab to win tab. however if you are going from laptop to this you wouldnt know the difference. At this price point to get a full fledged laptop/tablet is really good. It is good for casual users, students but if you are a poweruser this is not the thing for you. I will rate it 4/5 as it does what it is supposed to. Update: please keep in mind the bluetooth range is not very good. It is a pain to connect to bluetooth speakers. I tried connecting with Portronics Sublime speaker which is just a click away in android takes minutes in tablet. One it disconnects reconnecting is really difficult to say the least, and there are no good bluetooth connection mangement apps in the windows app market.
Laptab is great value for money. The Chiclet Keyboard is a huge plus, specially with a mouse track pad. Screen touch is very responsive. Being a windows based machine it makes really easy to install all my fav softwares.
