try gorilla glass and product planning

Dear Micromax,ni love you as you are the only Indian brand challenging mammoths and titans.nbut my beloved company there are things that you got to deal with for flooding every Indian home with your phones.nfirst basic thing is to add gorilla glass or some similar one to your phones. this will beat all other products. Moto E won against you due to this factor only.nsecondly if there is any product planning team with you then ask them to be farsighted.nearlier you launched Micromax Unite 2 with 4 gb now you are launching same with 8gb and that too with same price. the people who purchased a week or two week earlier shall feel cheated. this harms company's repo in the market.nni hope you are listening.... nhope you shall improve and make us feel proud by dominating not only India but abroad also

An Appeal to reviewers

Hi All,nWith all due respect I want to say something to reviewers here. Please do not review any product just by looking at its specs... people have got eyes n brain to read specs too.... So don't just raise the market of speculations but come up with your personal experience about the product and give useful information that can help people decide whether the product is worth a buy... nnThanks to all of you.

After Using about One Week..An honest review!!

Well i had ordered this product about two weeks back and after some hiccups with the delivery process i received the product!! Now almost one week of rigorous use and i am ready to write a review:nnPhone is BANG FOR THE BUCK !! Currently you wont get any other phone with so many features and almost no bloatwares for this price! Moto E is good , i don't deny that that but it lacks many important features that the Micromax has.( Front Camera, Apps movable to SD card e.t.c to name a few )nPros:n--------n1) The quad-core processor does its job well, Games Like: Ashphalt 8, Dead Trigger2, Frontline Commando etc run on the HIGHEST SETTINGS( i repeat Highest Settings ) absolutely smooth. The touch response is also awesome.n2) There is no laag whatsoever while navigating through the menu.n3) Wifi Direct, Wifi Hotspot, WIfi Tethering, Bluetooth Tethering works absolutely fine.n4) After installing following Apps: n a) Facebookn b) Facebook messengern c) Whatsappn d) Team Viewern e) Flashlight( A all that makes your camera flash as a torch )n f) Linkedinn g) Skypen h) Clean Master n i) Book My shown j) BS Playern k) Flipkartn l)PDA Netn m)Times Of indian n) Safari Book readernn And the following Games:n a) Ashphalt 8n b) Frontline Commandon c) Dead Trigger 2n d) Temple Runn e) Sky Force nI still have about:n-- 100 mb of internal space for app install.n-- 564 mb ( Total 965 mb ) of Ram free.n ---------n5) Video calling with Skype and my Wifi was nice.. Picture quality of 2mp front camera is good.n6) 5mp back camera is ok. Sometimes lacks the clarity. But its faaar better than Moto E.n7) HD video recording is alright.n8) I use whatsapp, facebook , facebook messenger, Gmail and times of india all the time, after that the battery stays for about 18 hours.( Please don't expect this batterly life if you are using the phone for gaming )n9) Screen quality is good, there is no pixalation anywhere and 199ppi is according to me perfect for the screen size.n10) Phone plays 1080p and 720 p videos without any issue, if you are not getting sound with inbuilt android player for mkv files please use BS Plater free.n11) The google voice search can do wonders: Play you a song, Set a alarm for you, find a place for you, Search nearby hotels and show you the way,n all by just speaking to it and no typing.nnConsn------nWell guys( And girls) after getting so much from the phone in this price range its taking time for me to think the Cons.nn1) It gets a little heated where the micromax logo is , on the back side when playing games for long of doing heavy wifi downloads. But nothing that makes itn unpleasant to use.n 2) Camera could have been better.n 3) While playing games or using video chat or wifi download, batterly gives about 7-9hours. ( This may get reduced in future as we keep using the phone,n but Micromax has given us a removable battery as well)n 4) Sometimes face unlock does not recognises me.n 5) No back covers still available in bangalore, only screen guards( not a con of course)n Thats All folks!!n ----n N.B.: Those people who are complaining that there is less internal memory and not all apps can be moveable to SD card, please note that most of the appsn are moveable to SD card( INCLUDING Facebook, Whats App etc ) without rooting your device. Search in google/youtube " Move android apps to SD card without rooting "n and you will get the solution.

Better than Moto E ?

Comparision only wrt Specifications.... Performance yet to be checked.. nn1) Display: Moto E wins --> (256 ppi.)nMoto E - 4.3 Inches, qHD, 960 x 540 Pixels (256 ppi.) (LCD)nMmx U2 - 4.7 Inches, WVGA, 800 x 480 Pixels (199 ppi.) (IPS)nMoto E display has a sharper display with better resolution & better viewing angles.nn2)Camera. Mmx wins --> Flash, Sec Cam.nMoto E - Primary 5Mp with flash, Secondary 2Mp,nMmx U2 - 4.7 Inches, WVGA, 800 x 480 Pixels (199 ppi.) (IPS)nPlus point for Mmx is that it has a Flash & Sec Camera..nn3)Memory & Storage is same for both.n1GB RAM, 4GB internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD cardnn4)Processor & Graphics. Mmx wins --> Quad core.nMoto E - 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200, Dual Core, Adreno 302, 400 MHz SinglenMmx U2 - 1.3 GHz MT6582M, Quad Core, Mali-400 MP2nMmx has quad core which is better than dual core in Moto E. (w.r.t performance wise Snapdragon processors are better than MediaTek processors)nn5) OS same for both. Android v4.4 (KitKat).nn6) Build Quality. Moto E wins--> Corning gorilla glass 3 & durability.nMoto E is protected by Corning gorilla glass 3 “made to last”, it is resistant to scratches, dust and water splashing. Also Durable. Mmx build quality is not upto the mark. Moto E has a biggest plus point of build quality.nn7)Battery. Almost same for the devices.nMoto E has a Li-Ion, 1980 mAh. nMmx U 2 has 2000 mAh battery (Not Li-Ion)nn8) SAR Value. Mmx wins.nMoto E - At the Head - 1.50 W/Kg, At the Body - 1.36 W/KgnMmx U2 - At the Head - 0.45 W/kg; At the Body - 0.85 W/kgnMmx U 2 is has a far better SAR value.nn9) Price. Moto E wins.nMoto E - Rs.6,999/-nMmxU 2 - Rs.8,250+/-nBascially, Micromax Unite 2 A106 is launched to compete Moto E with the same price of Rs.6,999/- but all of a sudden, wihin 2 days, the price is hiked for 1.5k. May be it must be done to push Moto E more to the market.nnKeeping in mind with the price of Rs.6,999/- i would prefer Micromax Unite 2 A106. But with Rs.8,490/- i would prefer Moto E. nFriends i have reviewed this only by comparing the specifications. But before buying i suggest you all to go for the device with the best performance, quality, safety & durability.

Worst R&D and after sales from Micromax

I got all my orders from WS retails till date. While the service is excellent, they also need to pull up manufacturers for supplying defective products as Flipkart also suffers losses due to aftersales costs of returns and replacement apart from customer regretting to buy these products.nnI got a replacement of my phone after having issues with updating google maps, OTG errors, weak radio signal errors, wifi direct etc.nnGoogle maps don't work if you update it. In built 'smash it' app keeps giving pop ups unless u disable it from settings. MAd keeps giving pop up every time u call, u can disable it but if u restart the phone it starts again. U have to disable completely from app settings but then what is the use of giving this app and highlighting it in promos as a selling point??nFlipkart CCEs told me to reset the phone to slove above issues which I did couple of times even in the replaced model, however it doesn't help. As I understand from reviews, other people too are facing such problem. My friend also bought this phone from flipkart and is also facing the same issues.nnApps memory is only 0.6GB free against flipkart's claim of 0.89GB which is total memory, hence it's not fair to cheat customer's by publishing wrong info. Kitkat doen't allow to move apps completely to external storage so you can't do anything here. It's the biggest drawback of kitkat as I understand from web reviews and micromax does worst by providing only 0.6GB free for apps even in 8GB version. User memory is 5.2GB which is of no use.nBuilt in apps like opera, kingsoft, hike etc. can't be updated, total disappointment.nIf you update all built in google apps, they occupy all the apps memory so it's totally useless since U can't install other apps. If u don't update, u can't have access to better versions and then what is the use of having smartphone?nIf these apps have security flow or any other problems you can't update to solve them. Will micromax take guarantee for security flows of these apps by restricting people to update some of these built in third party apps.nnMicromax has removed auto sync option from the device itself, hence you can't turn it off. You have to add system widget on homescreen to do so, very stupid. I figured this out after 10 days. But if you install other launchers, there is no way to do so unless launcher has that option. Absolutely annoying.nnUSB OTG is not working eventhough it detects the device. If keeps showing msg "checking for erros".nnDefault homepage is micromax webpage which opens everytime you open browser or even new tabs. There is no way to change default home page in built in browser making it absolutely annoying again.nnEarlier phone would not show option of wifi direct in 'share' menu of any file, however new phone has this option, however Wifi direct doesn't work to share files. Nothing happens after u select wifi direct option. Could not find any tutorial on how to use it.nnI tried calling micromax CC, but they could not give any help on these issues. All they had to offer is to go to nearest CC centre which I did, however they even had no idea that Unite2 exists in the market. Worst after sales service. They simply said they can't help software issues as software is release by company.nnMicromax dumped this phone in the market to compete MOTO-E even before the release of unite1 (A092) without sorting out these issues. Unite1 is actually a competitor to moto-E but due to screen size and bettery they decided to release unite2 first.nNow they have come up with 8GB version to push sells instead of sorting out issues.nnFlipkart needs to take this up with micromax.
