The G5 plus lives up to its promise of #Uncompromise by scoring well on all fronts
Mar 15 2017 By Nitansh RastogiMoto is promoting the smartphone using the hashtag #Uncompromise, i.e, a smartphone that doesn’t compromise on any aspect and delivers an all-round experience. We would certainly agree with that as the phone comes across as a complete package – something which is very rare in this price bracket. However, Moto’s aspirations seems to have changed with the Moto G series. While earlier, the devices were priced affordably around Rs 12,000, they are now moving up the value chain. The G5 Plus is the most expensive smartphone in the range so far – carrying a price tag of Rs 16,999. You can always opt for the affordable variant of the G5 Plus, priced at Rs 14,999... but if you ask us, a phone with just 16GB storage seems to be poor investment, especially if you`re spending this much. So the biggest issue against the Moto G5 Plus isn’t how good it is, it’s how well can it compete in the already competitive sub-Rs 15k budget that has some powerful rivals. To make it easier, we’ll be comparing the phones one by one:
Read Full ReviewThe hype created about this phone is utter disappointment. There are two major issues with the phone and the very important ones:nn1) BATTERY ISSUEnIt just drains so quickly, even when the phone is locked, it seems to drain very fast. I had J-7, which had similar 3000 mAh battery, compared to it I feel the real capacity of G5 plus battery is around 2000-2200 mAh. Also it takes 2 hours to charge phone from 15% to 100%, I donno how it is fast charging.nnBIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT. What's the use of a good phone if your battery cannot last long ENOUGH. You can't do anything with a dead phone. nn2) CAMERA PERFROMANCE WHILE VIDEO RECORDING:nI cannot believe that the video recording would be so pathetic. I could see black vertical stripes when I put the camera on video mode, I could see it all the time during recording and while playing the video. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED. EVERYBODY PLEASE OUT YOU CAMERA ON RECORDING MODE AND CHECK FOR THE ISSUE.nnI am definitely raising a replacement or refund request. I will keep updating here.nnnThanks
I was wondering I would've given 5 stars ✨ if you could've send me the phone which is in working condition. But your sent non working phone! That too basic functionality of vibration is not working... Frankly shame on you rite??? nnApart from vibration it's good features and specs. You can easily buy this without doubt but like this happens because of stupid sellers. They think buyers as fools... nnFlipkart you could've verified before delivery of the products rite? Why don't you do that? nnYou simply earning money but we are wasting our money and time.

There is no such option provided by Moto in their User Interface. However, if you want to record your calls, you can definitely go with some call recording apps that satisfy the feature. ACR Call Recorder would be my pick as it is lite, simplistic and user-friendly that helps in making any person understand its features and usage.

The Moto G5 and G5 Plus come with a fingerprint scanner at its front that can be used for quickly unlocking the device. But to hide or protect your apps I would suggest you use App lock.Heres how.
Now, whenever you open a locked application, you can either unlock it by simply verifying your fingerprint or by entering the unlock pattern. The fingerprints that you have registered for unlocking your device are the ones that will also work with App Lock.
Here is the video guide to do the same
