Hated it!

Personally I had a bad experience with Flipkart! I ordered this and received with in 3 days. the battery was pathetic. It only lasted for 20 mins in normal usage and 10 mins if I run any game. I complained to Flipkart and they told there is no replacement for this product.I have to contact service center for providing me a defective product. I need my replacement immediately orelse i am gonna complaint in consumer court.Guys i dont know about others , this is my case and flipkart is not ready for any replacement. Please think and buy.

Best a gamer can get

"The science of today is the technology of tomorrow" a quote by Edward Teller. MSI have been doing wonders when it comes to bring technology into gaming experience. The modern day gaming technology is now becoming VR ready. The games have been embedded with artificial intelligence to bring a better user experience into play. To use such an awesome technology, you will definitely require a gaming computer that is sufficient in terms of hardware. Anything below Core i7 is not worthy to experience true gaming experience. Steel series gaming keyboard is exceptional when it comes to performing in tournaments. I'm one of the PRO players(been gaming from last 15yrs) who step into gaming tournament and requires a very good keyboard to perform effortlessly. Steel-series have been key enabler for me when it comes to play tournaments like Dota 2, League of legends etc. If you are a hardcore gamer, it is important to have the right idea of the GPU required by the games you play on your PC. Nvidia GTX 1060 with 6 GB DDR5 RAM with this machine means everything runs on ultra high resolution by default. I own older MSI version which is GTX 850M with 2 GB GPU which runs few games like COD: Modern warfare in ultramode but not the latest Shadow of War. I've to run Shadow of war in medium settings in order to overcome lags.(Forget about Ultra high) After getting this beast, I can clearly see the true beauty of game when it's in Ultra high mode. Even the online games from Valve like DOTA 2 runs on Ultra high which makes me realize that I was living in fake world of graphics which I thought is best I can get. First time in my life I don't have to think about adjusting graphic settings in order to play game without lag/freeze/crashes. Cooling technology by MSI also improvised overtime, with one push you can increase the fan speed to allow better cooling at time when you're super focus on heavy gaming. Screen quality of awesome, anti-glare but still TN panel. Now many of us would say Acer, Asus have IPS panels which is far better. Yes of-course but what difference it makes to gamer? Do you play games sitting straight in-front of computer or you keep leaning/swaying left right while playing games? Common don't say that you're buying gaming laptop just to watch movies. Always remember your true goal i.e gaming. TN panel still good and delivers good images if you're sitting straight and not watching screen from left/right/up/down. Let's come to warranty, none of the other gaming companies give you 2 yrs of warranty(not even so famous Alienware). This is very important if you're spending anything above 70k. All parts of gaming machine are very costly if you've to get it repaired outside of warranty. Why would you go for 1 yr warranty for amount that you're going to pay is near or above 1 lac? I've been using MSI from last 4 yrs and their service is good. They won't argue you with repairing bla bla bla. They find the fault in hardware, they replace it. Problem solved! I won't focus on LAN, WIFI etc because this review is only focused on what actually matters if you're totally into gaming. 128 SSD will load your OS in less than 1.5 secs. You've 16GB RAM and option to upgrade to 32 GB if you're looking for more. HDD 1 TB is more than enough for a gamer because we won't play 10 games at every single time. Even if you want to play 10 games, space is still more than required. I've gone to MSI again for second time because the trust they've build with product quality, gaming experience and customer service is irreplaceable by any other brands out there. I think we over pay for other brands just because of their hereditary image that was built over last 20 yrs. I think MSI is doing awesome job with pricing for the hardware quality compared to other competitors.

Great Gamin Laptop with Decent build

I am going to make this review as straight to the point as possible without being overhyped like rest of the gaming reviewers here BUILD the build is not what i was expecting from MSI ,such a big brand and the quality is nothing what represents this company. The build is not very impressive.Bland flat design the quality of materials of the plastic is also not good if not great but only decent. There is a flex in the panel of screen.Flex in the middle of the keyboard. The quality is not top notch really. There is not even a ounce of metal you would find anywhere in the laptop body. MSI says its for making the laptop lite which I find hard to believe as its possible to make a laptop sturdy and tough in many other ways.Don't expect it to survive any type of drops so be extremely carefuI, In short not impressed with the build.Quality of plastic used could have been better. DESIGN The laptop looks are just OK. Not that speaks Gaming laptop as it doesn't have that manencing body design like other gaming laptops. The backlit keyboard that MSI calls it silverlining is also fine .Its a steel series keyboard but unfortunately the fun of changing the lights is not present and is not customisable which was a huge bummer really. What is the point of steel series keyboard. The rest is fine as i mentioned in build but for me it was Bland some may call it minimal but for a gamer like me the design is not what i am really happy about. Its boring. DISPLAY Even though its 1080p FHD display dont expect much from it.Except from gaming there is not much really there you would be impressed.Media consumption is fine .Don't have any complaints during gameplay and its anti reflective design also helps. Can't really say its bright. In direct sunlight you might face difficulity. But overall a Good display. WEBCAM Its usable records good video and have white light to indicate its on. BATTERY AND SOUND Now this is where this laptop just a disappointment. There is hardly a chance a gamer would play games without the power adapter plugged in but if you decide to do so. Don't expect to give you battery life more than 1 hour while gaming and on normal usage 2:30 hours that too if you have your laptop to best battery perfomance settings enabled. But can't really expect a Maruti average from a Ferrari. Its a powerful beast after all and those components take its juice they need.Sound also is like the lowest you can get from a laptop .Its audible yeah but in outdoors you rather have earphones on.Not a laptop for audiophiles and long term usage seekers ,it just drains way too fast. PERFORMANCE Now you wont be reading the review if you didn't knew the specs.IN SHORT its a beast and you wont be having any complaints at all. Everything runs smooth and GTX 1060 is a BEAST sufficient to satisfy all your gaming need period no arguments there. Now lets get down to good and bad stuff PROS 1.Coolerboost 4 is just mindblowing and impressive. Many other laptops which manages to keep the laptop to a certain degrees this laptop just flushes out the heat push a button and the system cools down from 70 to 45 -35 degrees in a minute just wow 2.The RED keyboard backlit looks stunning. 3.Smooth performance no compromises there. 4.The Nahimic VR audio is best at what it does during gaming. 5. VR READY and you can always plug in two displays which is just so cool. 6.Boot timing 5-6 seconds 128 gigs SSD also helps(the windows is on SSD by default) 7.Dragon center where you can select the profile according to your needs and the impressive turbo mode to overclock and give you the best gaming experience possible. 8.No heating issues. 9.Best laptop in this range to play AAA rated titles. 10.Exhaust fans are not very loud during normal usage except while gaming. CONS 1.Build quality is not upto the mark of MSI standards. 2.The display hinges doesn't give me the reliability confidence so be careful with that no rapid opening and closing of laptop. 3.There are very less MSI authorized centers so that warranty might not be very useful after all. 4.Even there is plastic used to save weight its still heavy. 6.Design is not very appealing. 7.Non customizable backlit steelseries keyboard. 8.No accessories at all were provided even the 40k laptops provide something extra ,nothing like that here. 9.The charger provided had a US pin adapter so i had to buy a separate INDIAN type adapter 10.The SSD and HARD DRIVE is upgradable but there are not extra slots you have to remove and the old ones that too in MSI authorized stores so that you don't void the warranty and trust me they won't give you a better resale value. POINTS TO NOTICE I bought this laptop for 78k on sale so the Pros easily weighs cons over a huge margin .But I tried to mention all the things you should expect from this laptop .But for what I got it for its a steal deal and I can totally ignore the cons and yeah its a BANG FOR BUCK STEAL DEAL. HOPE IT HELPED LIKE IF IT DID.

Terrific purchase

MSI GV62VR Vs Predator helios 300 Build quality & design: helios has much better build quality and design as compared to msi Thermals: helios has poor ventilation due to heat pipe design and sometimes you may face throttling. but MSI handles the heat quite well. warranty: MSI carry 2 years warranty while helios only 1 year.plus you can get additional 3 months on msi by participating in small survey after registration. keyboard: steelseries is a champion. much better feel and travel as compared to helios touchpad: both has good tracking. sound : helios has much better sound quality. size and weight: although helios is thinner but it is more heavier Display: since helios 300 has IPS display , therefore it has much better color contrast and brightness but msi display is also very good and ideal for gaming and it realy has 170 degree horizontal view. battery life: its poor on both the devices. storage: helios hai sata ssd but msi has pcie x4 ssd which is much faster. both has 5400rpm hdd. My preference: i would go with MSI because its ideal for gaming and msi being trusted and reputed brand we can assume better after sale service . Do like if you find it helpful.
