Pros: Megapixel is enough (14MP). Zoom (24x) is descent, could have been 30x. But you can go for external telephoto lens (Butterfly is available). Slot for external flash and microphone. LCD is clear enough and 360 degree rotation is added advantage from the earlier Panasonic models. Video recording is superb, better say mind-blowing. Stabilization is awesome, zooming while recording video is buttery smooth. Burst mode is very good. Battery life is superb. Very fast response time, and quick ready for next shot. AF tracking is also pretty good.nnCons: Menu functionality is little bit difficult, but will get used to once start using it. Sensor is in an odd position, might get covered by supporting hand's fingers sometimes.

This is the 2d Panasonic Lumix that I've owned. I have taken more than 2500 shots from FZ 100. The shots taken inside in average room lighting without flash are quite good. Shots taken outside at night of lighted holiday decorations are also quite good. Shots taken in daylight are exceptional. The super zoom is incredible. The refresh time for shots taken is quite fast. and High speed movie feature is awesome.

I got this camera few months back and i must say its the best in this price range... it has loads of features and comes quite close to Canon SX30 which is 10k more!
