Really poor quality TV

Most important, the sound from USB is so low that it is impossible to watch a movie. Impossible.nnSo, I connected the audio out to my amp, and the socket is defective. Only one channel works.nnFlimsy build. I bought 3 AOC TVs for my hospital recently and they were 15K for 32" and they are better in every respect.nnCrappy TV. Lets see if Flipkart honors their 30 day money back policy. I have been their customer since they started and have maybe 30-40 orders with them. First complaint, so let me see what they do.

Good TV. But BEWARE OF LED TV MAINTENANCE ISSUES

Bought this tv elsewhere. Good design and audio quality. Colors look good when connected with a Set Top Box. You could watch a football or a cricket match and really enjoy the experience. But I have to say that black color is rendered badly by this TV. TV's have an innate nature to display white color whiter and black color blacker. This TV does display white in a good manner. But blacks are pretty horrible. Its good for regular viewing, but I was watching Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows Part 2 on Movies Now and the blacks looked so bad that I switched the channel after 5 minutes. Of course the price of the TV has a part to play in this. I see everyone complaining about the sound. This TV gives a good 8W+8W output that makes viewing really a pleasure. But audio via USB might be a problem, English movies played with low sound and Indian movies played with good sound. Because Hollywood movies have low sound in the talkie portions and high sound in action scenes, and we usually download movies and they encode it with very low sound so as to bring the size of the file down.nnNOW TO MAINTENANCE (LED TV PANEL ISSUE)nI researched thoroughly for a month and rejected high end companies like Sony, Samsung, LG. Because LED TVs last only 3-5 years, it is insane to spend such money on Sony/Samsung. You could hardly spot any difference between this model and any comparable HD Ready Sony/Samsung tv. Plus I asked a few TV service guys and they asked me to go for sub-20,000 models because all the led tv's suffer from panel issues. They also said that Micromax, AOC, Philips are all manufactured at the same centre and are all identical except the price. Most of them need to replaced in a year and it costs 80% of the cost of the TV. This model is also prone to panel issues. I'm saying this because the installation guy from Philips admitted it. He also said this model also has a CIRCUIT-BOARD ISSUE and advised me to turn the TV off during thunderstorms. Because electric current could travel via the satellite, through the Set Top Box and damage the circuit board of this TV. Like all dealer guys, he asked me to opt for extended warranty. It costs Rs.4,000 for 3 years of extended warranty. nnBOTTOMLINE:nNice TV given its nominal pricing. Although identical to Micromax/AOC, I went for Philips because I didn't want to be "the guy with the cheap TV" tag. Also stabilizers are a must for all LED TV's because you know the power scenario of our country. Give this TV a try even if you are looking for a Sony/Samsung/LG model.

Sheer waste of money

Very disappointed with the product and equally disappointing flipkart's service in addressing the issue.nnThe Philips 24PFL3938 58 cm (23) LED TV is nothing but a waste of money.nn- very poor sound quality (just like 1950's tiny radio sets; a cheap chinese phone would have a better quality).n- horrible interface and software control.n- cheap and poor built quality and absurd placement of USB/HDMI and other ports.n- unstable desk stand without adequate support provided to hold the TV upright.nnand the worst part was flipkart's response that 'all Philips TVs are of such quality'.nnJust avoid buying this piece of cheap plastic.

very pathetic service by philips

Don't buy Philips products, Service is terrible. Installed Led in slanting manner. Tried to call up for second installation for last one month, but nobody never turned up. I booked call and they cancelled it repeatedly. At last I had done it by some local mechanic by paying from my pocket. very very very poor service. never buy Philips product.

Poor Picture Quality

Like many other buyers i also got tempted to buy a cheaper but a branded LED, thinking that Philips wont degrade its product quality by offering cheaper price point ... but when you buy this you can understand that what competition does to companies like philips who have to deteriorate their product quality to take on the competition.. but this helps them in short run.. in the long run it spoils the brand name, as i have decided not to buy any philips product later in my life.. nor will i recommend.. prior to this i was using one LED and one LCD.. both from Sony, but from grey market. so price was comparable to this one.. but with grey market no longer there.. i had to buy this as sony is costly.. but.. sony is sony.. it seems i wasted my 19K to save 5k..nAs my father said once.. Mehnga roye ek baar.. sasta roye baar baar..nI am realising the meaning of this saying, everytime i switch on my TV...nPlease dont commit the mistake i did.. Is there anyway to sell the TV Back? i can sell it back for 5K discount after 15 days of use.
