Considering the price is the same as the Realme 1, the choice of processor leaves us with mixed feelings. Especially if you consider the 4GB RAM version, which faces stiff competition from the likes of the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 (review) and Honor 9N (review). While the ASUS handset comes powered by a more powerful processor and battery, the 9N also ships with a stunning glass-sandwich design along with sporting a better chipset. The competitors also offer sharper displays with full HD resolution.If we talk about the affordable variant of the two, then things get better for the Realme 2 and it comes across as a stand-out offering. The first handset was recommended by us as one of the best options available in the price range and with the new offering, you get better cameras and longer battery life as well. Even though the processor choice serves as a bit of letdown — especially because its predecessor set a new benchmark in the sub-Rs 10k segment — the other improvements certainly make the Realme 2`s base model a compelling offering. The smartphone also comes across as a better buy in comparison to rivals like the Xiaomi Redmi Y2 (review) and Redmi Note 5 (review).

First I'll write cons : There is no status bar notification for apps, only system icons like network, battery,profile,time,WiFi Bluetooth u can get.U can get in lock screen or popup notification or drop-down notifications. So if u want to be little on privacy then this is a big issue, it's a big issue for me every time I have to unlock n check MSG's n WhatsApp etc. No notification light u have to wake-up the screen to check if u have anything new. Camera - there is no setting for any quality setting like others have , just pre set modes. Camera quality is not up to the expectations my 3 year old Asus gets 100 when this gets only 30-40 marks. Operating system Color Os needs to be more perfect, Redmi scores better in OS , many things to be improved hope they will update frequently like Mi does. Heating - For normal use no issues , but if u use WiFi r Tethering the space between finger print sensor and flash light gets heated up. Screen - It should be Full HD they downgraded to HD+ from realme 1 , high quality videos look good but if video quality is little low also u may feel bad opening Infront of others because the screen size is big n resolution is little low. set HD in FB n all other apps then ok. Gaming ok for medium users , for heavy gaming video looks like stuck in between. Pros : Build quality very good, sleek, end to end, notch. Sound quality is also good specially for bass lovers. Controls like special gesture controls , hide three buttons n many more. dedicated memory card is a advantage. Cover provided is of high quality n perfect with usb protection cover, only problem is it is little higher in high upon screen so may face problem while using navigation keys if u hide keys. Final conclusion : Good for this price , Waiting for Android P update and ColorOS update this will help Notch area full control. As promised it should get Android P and on Android P it's a best phone .Can get more stars if software problems solved.
