I have been using the device since last 3 days. Here is my review nnPros: n 1. Excellent display n 2. Fast focus and fast capture cameran 3. Nice UIn 4. Decent battery backup (after 24 hours, battery remains ~30% with mediumn usage.n 5. Good performance.n 6. Unread notification count is spot on, like we have in iOS.n 7. The metallic design is superb, and feels premium. Go for the gold one, than then white. The white one looks plastic from back side.n 8. Fingerprint sensor works 100% perfect.nnCons:n 1. second SIM slot is a hybrid slot. You can't use a microSD and 2nd SIM at once.n 2. In 32 grands, you may expect 3Gigs of RAM, where it features 2GB.n 3. Yes it warms up a bit during charging, and during gameplay, but very minimal.nnAltogether its a perfect combination of beauty and beast.nnI am giving 4 stars. one star deducted for a day late delivery by flipkart, even when next-day-guaranteed delivery was opted for.

I bought this Samsung Galaxy A8 three days before..It's features are really superb.Almost same features as in S6 with new and unique feature touch finger lock.Battery back up really good with 3050 mAh.No heating problem.Fast as it has been featured.Internal memory which is 32GB more than enough.I am completely satisfied and will recommend to all.

I did not purchase from Flipkart .Because the price was 32500 in flipkart when i was looking .So purchased from local shop for 30000 and got 5% cash back on this .it was good deal for me along with one power bank free .nnI had very bad thoughts about Samsung ,as i had issue on my Samsung galaxy s4 .and do not like Samsung Touchwiz UI which is heavy and will reduce the performance .nS4 had over heating as well .So i thought taking some other brand .however when i saw the phone in the show room .i got impressed much ,as it uses similar UI in galaxy S6 and this time samsung has made some changes .nnHere is my review why i bought this phone nnPros :nn1. it has 5.7 inch Super amoled display with Gorila glass 4 protection nn(only asus zenfone selfi and delux has this Gorila glass 4 protection in the market )nnyou can google it about Gorila glass 4 protection .nnn2.It has 387 PPI .which shows text clear and sharp while reading nn(there are many phone available in the market more then 400 PPI .However since it is a big screen 5.7 text looks so good even little less PPI .Iphone 6 has only 326PPI)nnn3.Phone has 2 GB ram .Many people think why not 3GB ?nbut samesung has given DDR 4 ram which has more speed then DDR 3 ram .nMany brands in the market they give 3GB bur those all DDR3 nThis DDR4 Ram is more power efficient .nn4.Phone has quick charge 1.0 .which can charge the phone 0 to 100% in 90 minutes .nPhone comes with 5v - 2A adapter nn5.It has 3050mah battery and battery life is excellent .i am normal user and it gives me 1.5 days .for heavy usage it should give 1 complete day .n6 .It is 5.9mm thin and this is thinner than Iphone 6+ nnwith metallic finish .looks great in the hand .nn7.coming to the performance nownni have used this phone more than a month nnUsually samsung phone gets slow down after few month .and this phone i have not faced any such issue .The phone woks fast and multitask is smooth .nExynos 5 Octa 5430 processor handles task well nn8.Samsung phone always gets over heated .But Galaxy a8 is not in the case .nnThe phone is always cool .You may get little warm when we charge the phone .that is because of quick charging .nnHowever that didn't cross 36 C .Even when we play heavy game it goes only 39 c not beyond that .This is really good .nnThere are many phones in the market gets heat and even it goes beyond 45 c saw the reviews in the youtube.nn9.This phone comes with 32 GB built in storage but usable storage you will get only 25GB approx .nn10 .It comes with 16 mega pixel camera .Day light photos are excellent and good color reproduction nn low light condition Photos are also good .But i can not say excellent because it has only one LED flash not the dual tone LED flash .nnfront camera 5 mega pixel which can take excellent photos .nnn11. The phone has dual sim option both are nano sim .nn12. This phone has One of the best finger print which is similar to Apple touch id .nnnCons :nn1. The phone has one cons .that is Hybrid sim slot .Which means you can not use sd card when you use second sim card slot .nnif you want to use sd card then you have to remove your second sim ...so you can use either second sim or sd card ...nnVerdict :nnOverall i am very much happy .day to day tasks performs well ...nncomparing the price there may phones available in the market ASUS and one plus 2 etc ...nnHowever asus can not match with Galaxy A8 built quality and also receiving OS updates nnOne plus 2 wait time is more and that has cheap plastic quality only 13 mega pixel camera .even one plus 2 has 4Gb RAM that is ddr3 not like galaxy A8 DDR4 Ram

friends, there are TWO variants of samsung A8.nn1)Snapdragon 615 chipset variant with Adreno 405 GPUnOcta 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 MPcore Harvard Superscalar core (max. 1.7 GHz quad-core cluster + max. 1 GHz quad-core cluster)nn2)Exynos 5430 variant with 600 MHz ARM Mali-T628 GPUnQuad 1.8 GHz + Quad 1.3 GHz (max) ARM Cortex-A7 Harvard Superscalar processor cores (512 Kbyte L2 cache)n nthe variant available in flipkart is variant 2. Obviously variant 1 is better than variant 2 because of the processor and GPU.., but both variants are almost equal in performance.n nso before buying this phone check whether variant 1 is available in india. if not then buy this variant.
