I have purchased this laptop last week, and waited for a week to write my review. First, the provided specs ( 4GB/3rdGenCi5/750GB/Win8) are excellent for the price offered, compared to any other brand in the market. The screen resolution is good with good touch pad. The keys are well spaced out on key board and appear to be a bit stick,y but over all works good. I do not use my laptop for games , so did not test much , for low level games so far the performance is good. The hard disk has only one partition for the entire space( there are small recovery partitions) , which we have to change if we want have multiple disk drives. Flip kart service is excellent as I received the laptop before the estimated delivery date. The biggest drawback is OS ( Win 8) . this is the most clunky and unwieldy OS ever. Win8 may have been designed for touch pads, but there was no need to force it on the laptop/PC users. Everything about Win 8 - be it navigation, switching windows- basically all the things we got used to in windows are made so difficult in this version. The only positive going Win8 is , now we do not need to shutdown , as the laptop can be in sleep mode whenever not needed. The annoying part is you have to really look out for shutdown option , if you want to shut it down. I suggest all you potential buyers out there, to search for Win8 reviews before buying one. So buy this laptop from Samsung /Flipkart or with similar specs.. but stick to Win 7. I would have given 5 stars but for Win 8.
i know many have given their pros and cons but i believe cons are more important than pros so here are mine First of all there is no indicator lights for the locks (Num lock,Caps lock...) Its really frustrating guys.....that is when you are typing in passwords....i was once typing a password several times and after quite a few tries found out that caps lock was on...this is really bad guy second there is a severe problem with the wireless adapter it connects to my BSNL wifi router but does not go online i tried several fixes but none of them worked it may be a problem with Windows 8 But it works when i use an external wifi adapter O.o Well there are no USB 3.0 ports :( Other than these its a good lappy as it gives very good battery life has a nice screen keypad is good(except for the missing indicator lights) good sensitive trackpad ample HDD
Pros- 4GB RAM, 750 GB HDD, Good Dispaly, Anti Reflective, Good Battery Backup of 5hrs. affordable.. Cons- No Graphics Card (but have Intel HD Graphics 4000...thank God) one drive of 750 GB but can be partitioned easily Too big -15.6 inches Windows 8 (i hate it)
This laptop does not have a num lock light!! As such, you end up frustrated every time num lock is "on", but you don't know. Otherwise a good product.
battery performance is very poor. its giving only 3.5 hours back even after 100% charging. Webcam is not functioning properly. It got corrupted within 6 months of purchase.
