Samsung Series 3 NP300E5X-A01IN Laptop (Core i5 3rd Gen/4 GB/500 GB/DOS)

As i have promised to write a Genuine review once i get this Laptop, here i go...nI received this Laptop on 10 oct, expected date was 12th.[Thanks Flipkart for awesome service, you guys rocks !!]nWhen i opened the pack,got little bit sad to see that there was no laptop bag in it, called the flipkart CS right away and got to know that bag offer is not with this model, instead one year extended warranty.Ok done compromised :PnnWhen i opened this laptop, was amazed to see the design and look. I got the laptop in black colour and it looks shiny and sexy.Nice build with sleek design(compared to its other brand equivalents). Its also very light in comparison to HP,Sony,Lenovo.[same range laptops]nnNow the greatest part, Installation of Operating System. I had Genuine windows 7 ultimate with me(dun ask how come? :-D)nAfter I installed the Operating system, the next thing was to load all the drivers, this laptop comes with samsung drivers CD. So i ran the CD and used the option , install all. It took more than 30 mins, again i was sad thinking it is a slow processing laptop kya?? But once the installation of drivers was done, I was awestruck with the display. For 33k you can never expect such a brilliant quality display.HP,SONY,Lenovo,Toshiba can never match its display in this price range.nnAfter the drivers are installed ,you will find few desktop shortcut icons created, click on each of them and explore them, quite usable ones.nnNow to the performance partnDisplay:-nI put some HD 1080 videos and played them with windows media player, oops it was not as expected, so i installed KM Player. The videos were played flawlessly and with good clarity.So over all satisfied.Intel HD grapics 4000 is just too good for the displays.nnSpeed: This laptop is i5-3rd generation, processing is fast as expected.nnMultitasking: ExcellentnnThe touch pad is too good. To scroll use your two fingers on the touch pad and scroll, for zooming use two fingers horizontally in opposite direction and vice~versa.Tap with two fingers and right click is there for you.nn*No fan noise and less heat generation.n*Webcam is ok okn*keypads are chiklet and with separate num area.n*Dun worry about capslock and numlock indicators, on-screen display will happen for them.nnRecommendation:-use windows 7 ultimate 64-bitncons:- not for High end gamingnnoverall:- Go for it without a blink !!!

i got this laptop, had to get it replaced, and flipkart did its job beautifully. the screen had some issues, but now the new machine is fine and dandy.nnhave been using it intensively (i program, and game somewhat, watch movies, and hate to shut down). the machine hasn't been problematic. however, the keyboard quality could be much better. the space bar feels like its about to pop off.nnhowever, for price, weight, and battery backup, it think the machine is good enough. but then again, if you can, put in some more money and go for the higher end samsung laptops, those are designed to blow your mind.nnpersonally, i'm fairly satisfied. 3/5
