Just one word is sufficient to describe this laptop.. AWESOME..!!! nnI have seen laptops with same config in HP, Lenevo, Asus, Sony but all are very expensive compared to this one. Don't know how Samsung managed to provide such a blasting config @ 43k. nnAt the time of buying this laptop i was not sure about the after sales service of Samsung but believe me you are not going to need one(service) soon as build quality of this laptop is very good, as we all see in other Samsung products too.nThis laptop is a package of very powerful high end components like i5 and that too is 3230 version, 6 gb ram, 1 TB HD & 2 gb AMD 8750 graphic card which is awesome man and can play any game you can throw at this laptop. I have played all latest game NFS 2012, Far Cry, Crysis, COD black ops, Max Payne and found no difficulty at all. So what else can u expect at this price. nSome people will worry about the Disk Drive as this one doesn't have the same but tell me who uses DVDs in today's time as we do all the sharing stuff etc with Pendrives and the benefit of not having DVD writer here is its very light and slim as you can see in pictures. Its looks beautiful, slim and good class.nnFinal Verdict-- Just go for it Frndz as you won't regret single penny spent on this one as its a bang for the buck.. Detailed and Correct review based on my observation and testing.nn1) Looks- It is quite good looking but as in previous review some people compared it to macbook well i don't believe so otherwise it is quite good looking and looks nclean and simple laptop with silver glossy colour and looks exactly the same it is in pictures.nn2) Perfomance - Very Good perfomance you can open ten websites, check emails, listen to songs and play games all at a same time and easily switches to one another napplication with ease ( No lag at all). There is only one partition and it is of 906 GB of space instead of 1 TB and out of which 37gb is taken by Windows 8.nn3) Video and graphics- Excellent quality graphics card and bright display no issues in display department plus it is anti reflective display what more one can ask.nn4) Weight-- I believe this is the most light weight laptop in the 15.6 inches screen category and also it looks sleek and thin. Easy to carry around and nportable enough. Its weight was something why i selected this laptop you can easily keep it on the lap and also take it anywhere just awesome.nn5) Sound- Decent and good sound on headphones no issues in it. Speakers are placed at top and not like in some laptops where they are beneath the surface. They are nabove the keyboard (as in the pictures you can see). Sound is good enough on speakers and morever i use the headphones mostly to listen and it also have a sound alive nfeature which we have to enable in sound settings.nn6) Battery- I am getting battery backup of 5hrs 30 minutes on normal usage with some time laptop being idle and not used and while running more tabs and applications nat the same time and keeping multiple websites opended i was able to get the battery backup of 4 hrs. I am impressed with the battery backup as i was expecting the battery backup of not more then 3 hrs(based on some reviews and it having a 3 cell battery). Battery gets fully charged in around 2 hrs.nn7)Touchpad- It is not one of the best but is good enough not too hard or soft but is good enough though initially i felt it was hard which means i haded to apply some neffort to use it otherwise with a usb mouse attached to its awesome.nn8) Keyboard- Neat and simple and no issues while typing for hours quite comfortable. But it is not a backlight keyboard and also there are no light indicators for the ncaps lock and num key.n9) Adapter- It is more then average size and fine enough, could have been a bit long.n10) Heating- No heating at all while normal usage while intense gaming i have not checked it.nnCons-nn1) No DVD drive but that is why it is light weight otherwise i have used external usb dvd drive in it works without any issues, morever i do not use cd or dvds enough nmay be like once in a month at maximum.n2) No light indicators on a keyboard, well it is con which i found to be little serious issue as sometimes i have to face trouble while typing numbers but i am getting nused to it.n3) No windows 8 dvd or any other accessories. nnIt is one of the best and unique notebook by Samsung cannot get this kind of features with this price. Go ahead if you want portability, performance and looks in a single notebook.nnI select this laptop for light weight, good battery backup and good performance and i am getting all these things more then i expected from it. There are other options and by paying 60 k you can get the laptop with all the highest features but you cannot find the laptop this light weight, solid build good performance and decent looks with very few minor cons.nnFlipkart service- I received the laptop two days before then the expected shipping date with no hassles on cash on delivery. Flipkart is no 1 e-commerce website in India.
First of all i waited 2 weeks to write a review, coz i wanted to have hands on experience with my new laptop.nNow, i am an IT guy and also a bit heavy gamer too. so, my review will be accordingly.nnThe laptop is bang for bucks. I purchased it @ 40,500 by availing flipkart 5% discount on net banking. For people comparing this laptop with other high-end laptop like McBook, plz get a life. I don't think any two products having different price range should be compared at all. By saying that, before buying it i have done all market research and compared nearly all the products of all well-known brands. For me SAMSUNG NP370R5E-S05in offers the best configuration at the price which i decent enough.nnNote:- At this price you will not get 3rd Gen i5 processor easily. 1 TB HDD is more than enough which Samsung bundles into it along-with 6 GB RAM. No, none well-known brands are willing to give such config. at Rs. 40000. Coming to Video card, it has Radeon 8750M 2 GB graphic cards. Yes, most of the other laptops in market are bundled with 2 GB graphic cards. But have you ever googled about the Graphic card model and architecture? Samsung gives you 2nd class 2 GB RADEON graphic card while mostly other laptops coming with 2 GB graphic cards are either 3rd or 4th class graphic cards...so don't expect anything amazing !nnPROS:-n1. Amazing look and feel, very slim designed with extremely light weight. The laptop body gives premium feel.n2. Anti-reflection display, this is gr8 effort from Samsung and now i can easily use laptop in good light condition without bothering about my own reflection into laptop screen.n3. Keyboard is well designed and well placed.n4. 1 TB HDD & 6 GB RAM....what more u wish for? This is more than enough.n5. 2 GB AMD RADEON 8750M graphic card, like said earlier it is 2nd class graphic card so don't bother about any game. Just install and hit play.n 2 Weeks of use and i have already tested Call of Duty(Modern warfare, black ops), Tomb raider, Need for speed most wanted 2, Need for speed the Run, FIFA 13...the gaming performance is awesome.n6. Battery performance is good enough i.e- 2.5 hrs, could have been bettern7. Window 8 64 bit bundled with it, though it is not big attribute but having it on board can't be missed at alln8. You get 1 USB 3.0 and my most of data transfer is done through it only. Comparatively it is blazing fast compared to USB 2.0...big thumbs up for this.n9. Most importantly all this for only Rs.40,500 ...is there any more product at this price?nnCONS:-n1. Normal battery performance is 2.30 hrs but while gaming the battery drains out more quick unexpectedly.n2. The charging is a bit slow, specially after 90% of battery is charrged.n3. Speaker performance is poor, it is loud enough but sound quality is feasible- then again considering other plus points it doesn't bother me much.n4. Doesn't have DVD writer/player....who cares? For me i haven't used DVD on my old laptop since 3 years. Just hangout with Pendrive...hahahan5. No backlit on board for NUMLOCK or others...nnAs you can see, Pros list is a bit lengthy than Cons...so my verdict is just go for it. No need to have second thought. At least none laptop is perfect. nFor flipkart, you e-kart service is amazingly best !!!
i thought samsung is sucess only in mobile but it is also very good in laptops sectionnour group bought samsung different models one bought ultra,sleek basic and higher end each one of us is very happy we thought to dare it per darr ke aaga zindagi hai it proved to buy samsung laptop compare to other brands like lenovo,dell and please dont compare with hp(heating problem)...........
The Laptop look and feel is really good. I had a mac book air and needed a new laptop because my office software was incompatible and I did not want to change the MAC OS Plus my mother needed a laptop so bought this and gave my Mac book air to mom.nnPro.n1. Good look and feel the design is really good almost on par with my Mac book.n2. You get i5 + 2gb graphics card + 1 TB hard disk for a really good price.n3. You get windows 8 installed.n4. Light weight especially if you need to travel a lot like me. nnCon.n1. No back light keyboard.No caps lock or any other keyboard light indicators.n2. Windows 8 is not the best OS but for IT guys it is ok n3. Sound quality sucks compared to my MacBook Air.n4. No DVD player, but for me I stopped using DVDs long time ago + no DVD means 300- n 500 gms lighter.n5. the Hardisk speed is only 5400 rpm which will slow heavy games down despite the good graphics card and processornnSo on the whole this is a value for money + good design laptop.
