Cheeky flipkart man! Got this lappy for 58K from Nehru Place (+free goodies)... Displaying a 61.9K price tag (almost 62K) on the site clearly shows they are covering their online server costs etc. by advertising their site as an "Online Saving Store"... This is not cool on flipkart's part. However, its needless to say this laptop is a LEGEND in true means! Pros: -Ivy Bridge i7 Quad-Core @ 2.4 Ghz (with integrated Intel 4000 graphics) Hyperthreading is one of the great features of this chipset. Not many softwares/games use Hyperthreading currently, but you can be sure its gonna be utilised in the future, so this makes it a future proof laptop. -2GB NVIDIA GT 650m Based on Kepler GK107 Architecture and offering 384 CUDA Cores (which is quite impressive actually), makes this is the best mobile graphic card at this price. It will run any game at medium/high settings (Compatible with this OS in this laptop of course) which releases even 3-4 years from now. GDDR3 version (which this one is) is slower compared to GDDR5 but can be faster at times as it is clocked higher than GDDR5 version. -8 Gigs of RAM (More than enough) -15.6 Inch LED (16:9 aspect ratio, offering HD) No words for the screen clarity, its super clear. Samsung is known for its LEDs and has lived up to its name on this laptop. -JBL Speakers Man you gotta listen to these to believe it, AWESOME is the word! Soundalive audio enhancement is good too. -Windows 8 64-bit Super fluid & breezy to use... Has its lack of, or shall we say missing features, however it is better than Win7 on some aspects, but possibly the best suited OS for THIS laptop. You get used to it & start loving it once you get acquainted with it. But still Win7 is the best OS for "GAMERS" -Blu-ray Disc Drive Blu-ray is not that popular in India right now, DVD is mostly used. But you can bet it will be the bread & butter of people by a few years. Again, this makes the lappy future proof. -1 TB Hard Disk Makes sure there is no need of external hard drives or expansions. SSD is missed, but boots are fasts so its okay. -Preinstalled Samsung Softwares They improve the using experience of this laptop. Both Desktop and Metro apps provided preinstalled by Samsung which is really professional on Samsung's part. Feels like Samsung cares for its loyal customers, which it really does. Updating drivers was never this easy! Cons: -Hard Disk does not have partitions, only C drive, but its okay. -No Indication for Caps Lock & Num Lock (on-screen or physical) -Heats up while playing games via Graphic Card... But cools down as faster than it heats once you get back to regular programs. (Tip: Use a good quality cooling pad such as Notepal X3) -5400 RPM can be slow but still its quite swift in file transfers. Its a minor con and can be neglected seeing the long list of Pros this laptop possess. -Battery needs frequent charging, but you're getting this for a reasonable price, so its okay. -2.5KG can be a bit bulky, but the streamline design of this laptop overcomes this con. Its eye-candy really just to take a look at it. -Touchpad gets a wee bit unresponsive to Win8 Gestures, but clicks and pointer precision is as good as any other Touchpad. The touchpad heats up too. -No backlit keyboard. And the only key this laptop misses is the "Pause/Break" key which is required for some software development etc. but this laptop is meant for personal use so its okay. (Notice how many times I used the word "ITS OKAY"? That's because I'm utterly impressed with this wonderful piece of technology) Conclusion: All in all a well-built & well-designed laptop physically, and a well-oiled one on the software department. Its a "Paisa Vasool" Notebook and a very good deal, BUT only if you get it at the right price! ;) If you posses the right resources to own this laptop, and if you're looking for a Gaming Laptop, or just a high-spec'd one.... JUST GO FOR IT!

Flipkart told me to modify the review so here it is flipkart u must not mess with price of the product if u put 67000 price tag on a 58000 product what do u expect me to say it's good that u put price tag to 6300 but it's still high at least 4000 high than market price at west bengal so if u expect me to put good review put appropriate price tag on product . however laptop is super cool bought it 2 days ago from local store at 58000 and it looks and feels great
my review was asked by flipkart to be modified but the fact is that truth can not be modified i know this laptop is super cool and i am still using it to write this review but the truth lies in its price earlier it was rated for 56k on 1 june and it went up in 2-3 days to 66 k and finally went down now to 63 k and i dont know why are the rates so fluctuating nso what does flipkart say about this ??nWe noticed that your feedback mentions product pricing. Hi all, This is a great buy for this price. No other laptop comes close to this in terms of value for money! PROS: 1. The processor. It is one of the best mobile processors out there. If you do a lot of CPU intense work on Fortron, Matlab and R, this CPU eats data for snacks! 2. The 8GB ram. I have done couple of benchmarks and it shows that the 8GB even out performs some of the 16GB rigs out there! 3. The GPU. Well, I am satisfied with this, but not awestruck! A great GPU for playing every game out there till date. But I am just wondering how it would come out with the nextgen games like witcher 3, Dragon Age 3 and the likes! 4. HDD. Well, 1TB is a minimum at this price range and I am happy this laptop has that. Most of the games these days will install upto 15GB and games like The Old Republic takes 33GB of space! So 1TB is well received!!! 5. The audio. I will give this a very good rating! I was taken a back by the audio quality! AMAZING clarity and the JBL speakers, well, I really did not expect this performance from JBL! 6. Screen. Well, it has a matte finish kind of a feel! I have not yet tested the anti-glare part, but overall I am okay with it! 7. Body. Well, it is a 60K laptop and it does look like one! It has a very premium feel to it! 8. USB. 4 USBs are very good, 2 USB 2s and 2 USB 3s. Also you have an option to charge a USB device even when the system is in sleep mode! Great feature, I say! 9. Battery. Well, one feature that I liked here is the option to only charge till 80% to increase the battery life! I don't know the logic behind it, but looks like a good option if it works! CONS: 1. Straight out of the box, the speaker grills will be a pain in the @r$e to clean! It will collect dust pretty easily and ones the dust goes in, it will be very difficult to clean them! 2. GPU. Well, again, it is a very good GPU; but... You see I will be very honest here, I can play any game on this machine. I have tried at least 10 of the latest resource hungry games out there and it plays most of them at high settings. But still I will rate it as a mid-level GPU. Why? Let me explain. Nvidia 650m offers all the great technologies like tessellation, Optimus and Advanced PhysX, TXAA and all. But most of the time you cannot enable TXAA as it reduces frame rate drastically! Only DX11 games support it and you cannot enable it on older games! Then what is the point in having it!!! Now, for this range, I do not consider this as a limitation, but as a wrong marketing strategy!!! 3. The CPU. Well, it is not a negative. In the whole system, the CPU is severely bottlenecked by everything else here! You might want to consider underclocking your CPU for more battery if you do not do high level of CPU intense programming! The beast is actually chained!!! 4. The horrible lot of crap that comes pre-installed!!! I had to format and reinstall my windows 8 and take it from me it is not easy!!! There is a huge lot of absolute JUNK that comes pre-installed. For instance, IntelliMemory, it will use your RAM as cache to let you open your frequently used apps faster! Believe me, it is just a piece of CRAPWARE! Your system memory will be always 80% used! To remove everything is, well, time consuming! 5. Windows 8. At this price, they should have given Windows 8 PRO and not just windows single language! 6. Optimus technology. Well, this is an Nvidia thing. It is a technology where the system runs on Intel 4000 HD graphics most of the time and dynamically switches to the GPU when the system needs it. I have found that some of the older games will not by default use the GPU! You will have to go into the Nvidia control panel and create a profile for the game! But that said, most of the time you might not need to switch as the onboard Intel IGPU is not bad for the older games. Infact you might not notice a performance gain on older games like NFS carbon and stuffs! Overall, this is a great system for the price tag! You will not get this config from any other manufacturer; believe me I have tried!
