Sony Bravia which I purchased have started giving head aches within a year. What is worse is the irresponsible Service which Sony is providing. The engineer who visited my place seemed to be least interested in answering any of my queries. After contacting the customer care, I am told that it usually takes time to coordinate with the Service Center and they can only update me on the progress after 2 days (forget about the timeline to repair the TV) . Also apparently there is a lag of day for the communication to happen between the Service Center and the Customer Care. In this internet age, I wonder what obsolete systems these people are using which is causing unnecessary delays.nnWith this kind of Service and the product getting faulty within months of purchase,I am wondering why should i even opt for a Sony product going forward. I hope they do something abt their service in particular.

initially i had purchased Micromax UHD 42 inch smart,but having audio problem so requested for replacement, which was taken care very well by flipcart, but in replacement i had same problem recur so i requested for refund and filpkart does it again so i nerrowed down my choice to sony, samsung and Lg,, its better to spend more money in BRAND but after full comparison i finally concluded this TV because of smart with full HD and Sony Brand, LG was also good but this Tv launched in 2015 so letest modelnnAfter using since 15 days i hadnt face any problem till now, screen resolution with airtel HD tv is amazing, its like u are waching in cinema hall, with Zebronic 4.1 speakers sound is also very nicenndont think about it, if you want it then no 2nd thought just buy it, you will not regret

Got this TV (2015 model) recently. Delivered on time. Sony people came and install on the wall with in 2-3 days. Picture quality is Awesome. Sound quality is also very good. I have faced couple of problems which wanted to share so that other do not have to go through it.nnIt is a smart TV and once connected to my WIFI it is able to connect to internet. But when I tried to play youtube video it was not playing. It was showing the video list but not playing.nnWhen I connected my 32 GB pen drive(scandisk) with NTFS file system it did not detect. Then I had to format it to FAT32 file system with "Primary partition option" then only it started detecting. Same thing happened to my 500 GB HDD.nnAfter doing lot of experiment and calling the costumer care and googling I found the solution for these issue.nnTo make all these things work, we have to upgrade the TV firmware. Once the TV is connected to internet it will ask for firmware upgrade. Do that every thing will work.nSony CC does not know about this.nnEnjoy watching your new TV.

Firstly you can buy two TV with this price. Even sony will make you buy the product twice. The Sony tv invariably will develop black lines of death in two years. This surely common add on in Sony India. Because your bored of so many colours Sony will add it's own beautiful color... The black lines... Now you got to shell out another 40k for the repair so what is the cost of the TV?

This is a nice TV, and below is my experience.nnI ordered recently on Flipkart, with the exchange offer. Flipkart wanted to deliver on Monday - I was not in town on Monday, so I rescheduled online on the Flipkart website, to Tuesday 1-4PM. I got innumerable smss and emails through Monday about the impending delivery. Tuesday morning, long before the appointed time, the delivery people show up. It was quite annoying, because I was busy and there were a lot of phone calls from them - however, in the long run this little annoyance was not a problem. The old TV was taken by the delivery people. The new TV box was opened and was checked for damage. All was ok.nnFlipkart had sent an installation request to Sony automatically. I promptly got a call from them, within minutes after the delivery. In my judgement, I refused Sony's "installation" service. (The installation service is really important if you want to wall-mount. For ordinary table-top placement of the TV, it is hardly required.)nnI set up the TV myself. It connected to the tatasky box seamlessly through the component channels. (5 wires). Display is very clear and nice. Coming from the CRT world, this was a big step up for us. Audio quality is nice too.nnInternet: I had a lot of issues at first. The TV connected to the wireless router without any trouble. However, it was unable to reach youtube through the ISP's firewall. Weird errors (2200 and others) kept coming. No help online. I tried to connect through a personal hotspot on the 3G network. The connection worked. I used the 3G connection to upgrade the TV firmware. After the update, everything started working, as one would expect. Youtube, opera TV store. I have also tried out a DLNA home media server, and mirroring the screen of my android motox-2 - all successfully.nnA little note about the DLNA home media server: The interface is unintuitive. You have to use the red/blue/green etc buttons on the remote to choose the kind of files you want to see.nnOverall, a very nice experience, with a nice TV. I had shortlisted this TV along with the Samsung 40J5300. My overall feeling is that this is a better choice. Certainly this is one of the best 40-inch TVs in the market.nnEdit after one year of watching. This TV is fantastic. I have a 3TB usb drive hooked up to it. All videos are converted to mpeg offline on the computer. The TV handles the drive seamlessly for watching the videos. It handles srt subtitles files too.
