If you keep a good track record of cameras in this range you might realize its nothing but just and update to the Sony's H-100. Though the price is increased by 2k more, the are some slight improvements in the features.nnTHIS IS A IN-DEPTH REVIEW OF THE SONY H200nnPros:n• If you still count on pixels and you decide buying a camera by pixel count then its 20 Million pixels are will definitely make you happy, its quite amazing. it really promises some Hi-Def pictures which are packed with detail...Note: Megapixels really don't matter now a days. Even some cams which costs around 50k are just 12 Megapixelsn• Optical zoom is quite good at 26x optical and 52x digital. You cant ask for more as cams with 30x zoom cost around 24k so i'm personally satisfied. You won't need more zooms unless you are into wild-life photography.n• The Screen is good. dont compare it with any other cameras as Sony just renames normal TFT-LCD to "Clear Photo/ Clear Black LCD" its all the same.n• 720p video is enough for shooting some action or drama sort of things. But i've heard that the zoom in video is not good. Well that can be severe issuen• Lens is not 'carl zeiss' that is what Sony uses in High-end DSLT and P&S cams. its just a sony lens.n• Sensor is CCD. Sony calls it 'Super HAD CCD'. I dont know whether that makes any difference. This type of sensor is usually found on compact digi-cams. So at this price you cannot expect CMOS.n• ISO is very pleasing at 80-3200 range. Even some costly DSLR's have ISO starting from 100. Its a good pointn• Minimum Focal length is 24mm which is quite good for Wide-Angle shotsnnnConsn• The biggest disadvantage I found with these low end Bridge Cams are they still run on alkaline batteries, which is quite annoying charging them and buying a new pair after every 6 months. Though it also has some nice advantages like you can carry extra for some travel purposes.n• Microphone is mono channel. That is not actually a con but it would have been better if it was Stereo.n• Internal Memory is just 55MB. Which usually gets filled up with 20 shots. Must buy a SD card with it.n• Zoom in video is sluggish.n• Lacking Viewfinder: No viewfinder sadly...:(nnTop competitors:n1.Nikon Coolpix L810 (Almost similar specs and price)n2.Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX150 (It has a CMOS sensor)n3.Canon PowerShot SX160 IS (similar specs)nnAfter analyzing it deeply. I'd rather say and recommend to go for it, disregarding all the negatives because at this price its sony one of the best. nThanks for reading...hope this helps
I AM PLANNING TO BYE IT...HEARD THAT IT IS GREAT 1..I HV CHECKED IT...IT IS A GREAT 1........POST YOUR VIEWS........ Super Choice.... What a camera. The clarity of photos during night & the truck loads of modes just make the experience delighful. For amateurs like me, it would take half an hour to get used to the basic functionalities. I did not get a chance to click photos during the day, but I am sure it would surpass my expectation.
