Even though it is not mentioned here, this camera comes with a 4gig memory card & camera case. I did not know this & purchased an additional memory card & camera case. Product seems good & was delivered quickly. I did not get to test it yet. Just wanted to post this so that others won't unnecessarily buy extra memory card & case.
Hi guys! I'm writing this review after a month of using this camera and if you want my condensed opinion its this- The WX60 is a strong contender at its price which takes suprisingly good photos for its price. What I feel is its real strenght is 1080p recording, with pretty decent on clarity with amazing low light performance.nnIf you want more, here's my opinion on this. I got this camera as a replacement for a previous Sony camera which was stolen before my vacation. I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before buying this one and did have a bit of personal preference towards Sony since they have been in the photo and video industry since a long time, so they know their stuff and their cameras are really well built. nnI chose this model over another strong contender at a similar price, the DSC H100 as I realized that I well never make use of that much zoom and the shopkeeper in the Sony store [I saw it in a store, then purchased it from Flipkart] demonstrated how the WX60 had superb low light performance and also had a 1080p video recording option whereas the H100 only had 720p. I also found the image stabilization to be really good and since I have wobbly hands, this really did help when taking photos without a tripod.nnI feel this camera does a superb job of taking photos and the image stabilization does add when taking movies with it. During day time, the photos were a bit overexposed, but nevertheless were quite clear. When recording in 1080p; the video looks really good on a 900p screen, but when upped to a 1080p screen it does not look that great. However, I only shot movies in really low light conditions and am satisfied.nnHowever, its not really perfect. I don't liken1) All photos are stored in a seperate dated folder. That means if you take photos on 14 different days, be prepared to have 14 folders. However, this happens when you connect the camera to a computer using the USB cable. If inserting the memory card directly, this will not happen. I don't know whether this is a fault with the camera, or Windows 7 but nevertheless, its an inconvenience. n2) The menu could be easier to navigaten3) This one is serious- the micro USB cable provided with the camera stretches the door a little too far and caused mine to not close properly. I suggest using a different cable than the one provided. Also, the camera comes with a powerbrick. Seriously Sony? A power brick for microUSB?nnDo I recommend it? Hell yes! However, I do recommend going to a store and seeing it for yourself first as the size may surprise you! The aluminium finish on it makes it feel really good, but it stains easily as well and is somewhat hard to get back clean again. Also, don't waste money buying another battery like me. The one that comes with the camera will easily get you through a day of taking 200 photos with 5 minutes of FHD movie recording with some room to spare. Hope this helps potential buyers! :)
