The absence of a sound RAM in this price range is disappointing but is acceptable in lieu of powerful features in other departments. These include excellent HD webcam, Gigabit Ethernet and powerful speakers.

The Sony VAIO SVF15215SNB arrives with a 15.5-inch TFT Color LED backlit display with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. The display with capacitive touch gives you the scope to deal with all kinds of tasks with your fingerprints. It is housed in a 26.1 mm thick outfit which has a weight of 2.7 kg which cannot be ignored easily. It is available in white and black colors with a soft matte finish.
 
Processor and Platform
 
The processor ticking on the inside is a 1.9GHz Intel Core i3 3rd generation processor assisted by a mere 2GB DDR3 RAM which is quite disappointing in this price range. It manages demanding graphics with the Intel HD 4000 GPU. You can use the single SODIMM slot for expanding its capacity up to 8GB. It runs on 64 bit Windows 8 OS.
 
Camera, Storage and Multimedia
 
The Sony VAIO SVF15215SNB provides excellent video calling experience with its 0.92MP HD webcam paired with a monoaural microphone. The webcam supports Exmor R for PC and provides nice images even in poor backlit environment. It meets your storage needs with a regular 500GB SATA HDD.
 
It also has an 8X SuperMulti DVD Drive for streaming movies and software form disks. The subwoofer and stereo speakers powered by Clear Phase, xLOUD, ClearAudio+, VPT and S-Force Front Surround Sound 3D provide utmost audio quality.
