    You can Update/Correct your Email ID in Aadhaar online by visiting UIDAI's official website by clicking here.
    You need to Select "Update Request" under "Aadhaar Update" Section.



    Read the instructions clearly and click "Proceed"
    Enter valid Aadhaar Card Details and do "Text Verification".
    Click on "Send OTP".

    Note: To update/Correct your Aadhaar Data online, you must have your registered number with you. 

    Check on "Email ID" field and click "Submit".


    Update your information.
    Scan and Upload supporting documents and Submit the request.

    A Request Number will be generated to track your "Update Request Status".

    You can download the updated copy of your Aadhaar once it is updated.

    You need to Select "Update Request" under "Aadhaar Update" Section.

    You can verify your Aadhaar Number by visiting UIDAI's official website from here.


    You need to Click on "Verify Aadhaar Number" under "Aadhaar Services Section".




    Enter Your Aadhaar Number followed by Security Code.
    Click on "Verify".



    Aadhaar Verification will be shown.

    To add your email ID on the Aadhar card >

    1. Log in to the self-service portal (SSUP) using your Aadhaar number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
    2. Select the email address and update it.
    3. A URN will be generated after submitting the form.
    4. After you receive the URN, select the BPO that will review your update.
    5. Scan the original document (for proof) and attach it.
    6. Once all your details are submitted, you can use the URN to track the status of your request.

    You can Link your Bank Account with Aadhaar Card, either by visiting your Bank's Branch or through Internet Banking. 
    1. To Link, by going to the Branch: 
    You need to get a printout of Form No. 1.
    Fill Necessary Details and submit to your Branch.
    2. To Link, through Net Banking:
    Log in to the Online Portal.
    Click on "Aadhaard card Seeding" or "Update Aadhaar Card Details".
    Enter Necessary information and click on "Submit".

    You will be intimated through mobile or e-mail regarding this status.

    You can book an appointment online by visiting the official website of UIDAI. You must have all the required documents for applying for Aadhaar card.

    Next step is to visit the enrolment center to get your work done. 


    You need to find an enrolment center near you, either to book an appointment online or visit directly.


    Note: Booking an appointment online can save you a lot of time. Also, be on time and don't miss out your appointment.


    At the center, Fill the enrolment form


    Note: Enrolment form is also available online, which you can download and fill to save some time. 


    Next, you need to submit the form along with the supporting documents which include Identity Proof and Address Proof

    Submit your biometric data (Fingerprints and Iris).

    They will also take your photograph. (You will be lucky if you look good in your Aadhaar Photo ;))


    Don't forget to take the acknowledgment slip. It will have your 14 digit Enrolment number which will be used to track status and can also help in downloading your Aadhaar Letter online.

    Aadhaar can be downloaded as a PDF document from official UIDAI website.

    You can simply Download your Aadhaar Card by using either of Aadhaar Card Number, Enrollment Number or Virtual Identification Number.


    In order to Download visit UIDAI Official website by clicking here and follow these steps:

    Click on "Download Aadhaar" under Aadhaar Enrolment Section. 






    A new window pops-up that provide details of password for opening the pdf file containing your Aadhar Card. Note it down somewhere, you will need it later.




    Select Aadhaar Number / Enrolment Number / VID number for identification and downloading your Aadhaar.


    Note: VID is Virtual Identification Number to be used in place of Aadhaar to maintain privacy while availing services. One can generate VID from UIDAI's website.




    Enter details including:

    Your Aadhar/Enrolment/VID Number.

    Your Full Name.

    Pin Code of your residential address.

    and Captcha Image

    Click on "Get One Time Password"


    Note: One Time Password will be sent to your registered mobile number. You cannot download your Aadhaar card without your registered mobile number. In case you use mAadhaar app opt for TOTP.


    Enter the OTP and click "Validate and Download" to download your Aadhar Card.

    Your Aadhaar will be downloaded in .pdf format which can be opened by any PDF Reader(Like Adobe)


    To open your protected file, password instructions were given to you in the starting of the process. (It is the combination of First four letters of your NAME in Capitals followed by the YEAR of your birth)


    Note: You can download you Aadhaar any number of times and it can be used in place of original Aadhaar everywhere.

    Select "Enrolment and Update Centres" under "Aadhaar Enrolment" Section.



    You can Search either using Pincode, State & District or Directly do a quick search.
    Quick search is really easy and gets your work done.
    Just Select Quick Search, type in Vashi and Hit Search.



    NOTE: You can choose to search only permanent centers by clicking on the CheckBox "Only Permanent Centers".

    Complete List of Aadhaar Centres will be shown along with the name of the contact person.

    There is no specific age to get an Aadhaar. Aadhaar is not classified as Aadhaar for adults or Aadhaar for children. Citizens can apply for Aadhaar at different ages and obtain it. 

    Note: If you have got an Aadhaar made before 15 years of age, you need to get biometrics and photo recorded again after you turn 15.

    Aadhaar Card is accepted by all government agencies to avail services including:
    Acquisition of Passport
    Opening Bank Accounts

    and a lot more. 
    Aadhaar card can be downloaded any number of times and all its copies are valid.

    On Applying for the Aadhaar Card, you get the acknowledgment slip which can be used to track the status of your application.
    You can check it by visiting UIDAI's official website by clicking here.
    You can know either Application status or Update status by following these steps:


    1. If you wish to check Aadhaar Application Status:
    Click on the "Check Aadhaar Status" under "Aadhaar Enrolment" Section.
    You will be redirected to the relevant webpage.



    Enter your "Enrolment ID" followed by "Date and Time"
    Enter the "Captcha" and Click on "Check Status".
    Status of Your Aadhaar Application will be shown.

    2. For Checking Update/Correction Status:
    Click on "Check Status - Updation Done Online" under "Aadhaar Update" Section.


    Enter you "Aadhaar Number" followed by "Request Number" you got while making the update request.
    Click on "Get Status" to know the Status.

    If your Aadhaar has been generated and you haven't got it.
    You can download it using Acknowledgment number.
