I bought an entry level Toshiba laptop at flipkart one year back, as my computing needs were/are basic. I have no problem with flipkart's service. After 11 months of use, there is problem with hinge and panel. When i open laptop, the panel near the hinge cracks open! This is a shocker from famous brand like Toshiba. I certainly didn't drop the laptop, else it would have broken the screen, or a corner would have developed scratches. I thought the screw near the problematic area had gotten loose. It indeed had gotten loose, but that wasn't the main problem. After tightening the screw, it still didn't solve the problem. I took it to a service centre and was told to wait for 20 days to get a new panel. In the end, they didn't get it. And mind you, panel, (not whole, just one part) is expensive, costing close to 4000, not to say waiting period and losing ur work hours. Compare this with my brother's ancient acer travelmate 4000 laptop. He opens the closes the lid (not delicately) during the course of his daily computing work, and there isn't any problem with hinge or panel. nnTo be fair, i can't say all toshiba products are inferior. It's better to check hardware properly in a computer shop before buying a product. If you like a particular model, then you may buy it from flipkart to get it at better price!nnAnd the present laptop that i am "reviewing" (not my laptop) has only 1.4 ghz clock speed. The processor isn't probably upgradable with this entry level model, so think about future! Will Windows 9,10,11, and so on, work on it?!nnReviewers, not so fast with ur reviews. Everything look nice when they are new!

I bought this laptop recently. Given the config, my requirements were to watch movies, carry it around for some office work and browsing. Things i was not very keen for my laptop to do: heavy parallel processing, high-end games, graphics software. I must say that i got whatever is written on the label. nnIt runs windows 7 ultimate smoothly. Drivers are freely available on the toshiba site. The screen is very good - anti-glare and all. The laptop overall is good value for money. Remember you can always top up the performance by plugging in an extra RAM in the available slot. nnTo summarize i'm a happy customer of both Toshiba and flipkart. I wish there's a separate rating for flipkart service - excellent packing and right on time.

this laptop is ok within the range of 18knworkin fine for me....nif u want to upgr8 the ram.nthen this option is thr in this u can go for 8gb ddr 3 support for this model ncolor is quite nice nand nthe most imp thing nabout drivers it will take time but u have to download it from the toshiba india sitendrivers are easily availablenand the most imp thingnafter opening the new laptop keep it for charging for about 5-6 hrs then only your new battery will start working notherwise it will show you 0% charging so just don't get dissapoint.nand please load only window 7 ultimate edition coz nwhatever the drivers you did'nt find from toshiba site after window automatic update it will download the drivers automatically.nso keepnposting the reviews .nand thanks to flipkart team...

I respect Toshiba for its Robust Electrical components, Its laptops are stable in every Price range, (despite of its keyboard)n I own Athlon II /L640-M4010, Its a decent laptop and value for every penny i paid for it. i even enjoyed some casual gaming like NFS Shif1,n Audio chipset on my L640 is Conexant HD which i find is more crispier then Realtek HDn I want to recommend this to a friend. if some one who owns this product can Paste a complete Dxdiag log of this product,one can expect what they are getting for their price and it will be really helpful

AMD APU Dual core with 2+80cores is a super computer which works on 18W power, that means the battery backup is super and the laptop life will be more. Also this laptop comes with AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics which makes games & movies more clearer......... over al this is the best laptop at a very low cost.......
