ZTE sub-brand RedMagic has launched the RedMagic 11 Pro smartphone in global markets after its debut in China. The gaming-centric smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and features up to 24GB RAM and up to 1TB internal storage. The RedMagic 11 Pro brings flagship specifications alongside gaming-oriented features such as advanced cooling, shoulder triggers, and an ultra-responsive display.
The RedMagic 11 Pro starts at USD 699 (approximately Rs 62,000) in the US for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The 16GB + 512GB and 24GB + 1TB models cost USD 799 (approximately Rs 70,000), and USD 999 (approximately Rs 88,000), respectively. In Europe, prices start at EUR 699 (roughly Rs 71,000). The handset will be available from November 19th in the US and other global markets. It comes in three colour options: Matte Black Cryo, Transparent Silver Subzero, and Transparent Black Nightfreeze.
The RedMagic 11 Pro has a boxy design with squarish edges, which is nothing like the sleek mainstream flagships of today. However, what’s exciting is the addition of a ring of cooling liquid on the rear of the phone, which you can actually see from the outside. The company calls it the AquaCore Cooling System. The new system draws heat from the CPU and battery with a flowing fluorinated liquid visible on the back of the device. Combining that with larger vapour chambers and new waterproof fans, the RedMagic 11 Pro reportedly offers a 50 percent improvement in heat dissipation over the previous model. There are also capacitive shoulder buttons along with flashing RGB lights for gaming.
The RedMagic 11 Pro is a dual-SIM device that runs on RedMagic OS 11 based on Android 16. It comes with a 6.85-inch BOE X10 2,688×1,216 display that supports up to 144Hz refresh rate, 1,800 nits peak brightness, and 3,000Hz touch sampling rate. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Powering the device is the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 24GB LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 Pro storage. For optics, the RedMagic 11 Pro features a triple rear camera setup – a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP secondary sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. The front camera is a 16MP under-display sensor.
To manage heat during gaming, the phone includes an AquaCore Cooling System, which combines under-screen copper foil, graphene layers, a 3D vapour chamber (13,116mm²), and a 24,000 RPM waterproof turbo fan for sustained performance under load.
The global variant packs a 7,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging and 80W wireless charging support, which is slightly smaller than the 8,000mAh battery with 120W wired charging available on the Chinese model.
Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Other features on the phone include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an IPX8 rating, and dedicated shoulder trigger buttons with 520Hz touch sampling rate for gaming.
