Lenovo-owned Motorola is expected to launch three new Moto G series smartphones in the coming months. These are expected to be the Moto G6, G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play. Ahead of the launch, we have already seen a number of leaks, reports and images of the upcoming Moto G series offerings. Now, the upcoming Moto G6 Play has been spotted on the benchmarking website Geekbench, which has revealed a few alleged specs of the device.
As per the Geekbench listing, the Moto G6 Play will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, which is an octa-core processor featuring a clock speed of 1.40GHz. The processor will be accompanied by 3GB of RAM. The benchmarks also reveal that the Moto G6 Play will boot Android Oreo out of the box. On the performance-measuring app, the phone has a single-core score of 472 and multi-core score of 1,801.
According to the earlier leaks, the Moto G6 Play will come with an all-screen front with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone’s fingerprint sensor will allegedly be integrated into the Moto dimple at the rear. The device is rumoured to be powered by a massive 4,000mAh battery. The handset will likely come in two RAM and storage configurations – 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 32GB.
Unfortunately, no other specifications of the Moto G6 Play are available at the moment. If the reports are to be believed, the phone will be priced at around Rs 15,000. The device is expected to be unveiled at some point in April or May.
