“The OnePlus 6T is expected to come in the month of October”
(Update: August 27th): According to the Twitter user Lazarev Oleg (@LaOlTomsk), there’s no OnePlus 6T on Eurasian Economic Commission’s website. The screenshot that was shared by a report is actually fake, adds the tipster.
Earlier this month, it was confirmed that the OnePlus 6T is indeed in the making and will come in the month of October. The report said that the upcoming smartphone from the brand managed to bag the backing of a major US carrier – T-Mobile for the first time in history. Now, the existence of the ‘T’ variant of this year’s flagship has been confirmed by a spotting on Eurasian Economic Commission’s (EEC) website.
The leaked EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) document reveals that the OnePlus 6T will bear the model number A6013. However, apart from this, no other information has been revealed by the new listing of the handset. If history is to be taken into account, the OnePlus 6T will only be an iterative upgrade to the OnePlus 6 (review). However, if the rumours are to be believed, it will not just be an iterative upgrade and will come with a triple camera module, waterdrop notch on the front and an improved Dash Charging. However, nothing else is known about the upcoming smartphone at this point of time.
As for the specs, we can expect the base configuration of the smartphone to be identical to that of the OnePlus 6. To recap, the OnePlus 6 comes with a 6.28-inch FHD+ Optic AMOLED display featuring a notch up top. The performance of the handset is powered by a Snapdragon 845 chipset. The handset maker is offering the OnePlus 6 in three variants – 6GB + 64GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. In the imaging department, the handset comes with a 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel setup on the back and a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. The smartphone boots Android 8.1 Oreo-based Oxygen OS out of the box and is powered by a 3,300mAh battery with Dash Charge support.
If the latest report is to be believed, the T-Mobile version of OnePlus 6T will retail for $550 (~Rs 38,400). As of now, no other details of the pricing and availability of the phone is known.
