“The successor to the Realme 1 is expected to launch soon”
Realme — which started off as OPPO’s sub-brand but is now an independent entity — is expected to launch its second smartphone, the Realme 2, in India pretty soon. The successor to the Realme 1 (review) was recently spotted on the company’s website with dual cameras and a notch-toting display. Now, 91mobiles’ sources have confirmed the fact that the Realme 2 will feature a beefy battery along with sharing the specifications for its camer sensors.
Unlike a 3,400mAh battery powering its predecessor, the Realme 2 will sport a capacious 4,230mAh cell, which is more than 20 percent larger. Further, on the camera front, the Realme 2 will boast a combination of 13-megapixel shooter and 2-megapixel secondary sensor on the rear backed by LED flash. In comparison, Realme 1 sports a single 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash. Our sources have also mentioned that the smartphone will be launched in the month of August itself.
As per the render on the official website, the Realme 2 can be expected to carry forward the diamond-cut design of its predecessor. However, it’ll feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, which was missing on the Realme 1. While we don’t have any other details of the upcoming smartphone yet, we might not have to wait for long.
