While the new certification doesn’t reveal a whole lot new about the upcoming device, it does mention that the Samsung offering will boot Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. As per the Bluetooth certification listing of the handset, which was spotted earlier, the smartphone was tipped to come with support for Bluetooth 5.0.

Earlier leaks have suggested that the Galaxy A8 Star would feature a 6.28-inch FHD+ Infinity Display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The performance of the handset has been tipped to be driven by an Exynos 7885 or Snapdragon 660 SoC. The processor is expected to be coupled with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage. The smartphone has been suggested to sport a dual camera setup on the rear, with a 16MP + 24MP configuration. Finally, the Galaxy A8 Star is expected to house a 3,700mAh battery.

As of now, there are no further details available about the handset’s pricing or availability. It has earlier been speculated that Samsung might choose to launch the smartphone just in China, though the Bluetooth certification has hinted at an international variant as well. We will bring you more updates regarding the Galaxy A8 Star as and when they emerge, so stay tuned.
