“The Mi 8X is expected to come with an identical spec sheet as the Mi 8 SE”
Xiaomi’s Mi 8X has been doing the rounds of the Internet lately thanks to a number of leaks and speculation. Now, the same model number got listed on China’s certification site – 3C, hinting at the imminent launch of the Mi 8X. Notably, the Mi 8X will join the Mi 8 and Mi 8 SE in the Mi 8 series.

The listing on the 3C certification website doesn’t reveal much about the handset except for the model numbers, which hint at three different variants. According to the previous leak, the Mi 8X is expected to come with Snapdragon 710 SoC ticking at its core. Further, it is being speculated that the phone will come with an under-display fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is tipped to come powered by a 3,100mAh battery. The renders spotted on Weibo also hint that the upcoming Mi 8X will feature dual cameras in a vertically-stacked arrangement. The smartphone can be seen flaunting a glossy finish on the rear panel in white and blue hues.
From the looks of it, it seems that Xiaomi will place the Mi 8X between the top-of-the-line Mi 8 and the more affordable Mi 8 SE. However, nothing concrete is known about the upcoming smartphone as of now. We will bring you more updates as and when they emerge, so stay tuned.
