Your hassle-free Android smartphone
Sony Xperia Tipo can be touted as the successor of Xperia mini. Sony has made this mobile smarter and simpler by customizing the preloaded Android 4.0 with the Sony Live UI. The combination of preloaded apps, customized Android and powerful battery makes it one of the best Android 4.0 loaded mobile below 10k price bracket.
Sony Xperia Tipo houses a 3.2-inches, 320x480 pixels, 256k colors capacitive touch screen protected with Scratch-resistant glass. The bigger screen resolution is a great advantage against the Indian Android mobiles, most of which comes with a mere resolution of 240x320 pixels. It has been powered by 800 MHz Qualcomm processor and Adreno 200 GPU to ensure the smooth operation of Android ICS.
Sony Xperia Tipo features a 3.15 Mega Pixel camera with fixed focus, Geo tagging and video recording capabilities. To store the photos and other media contents it has 2.9GB (2.5GB user available) inbuilt memory.
What an Android lover wants… the latest version of Android, long battery life and ample storage to install apps break-free. Sony Xperia Tipo has it all. If you don’t expect much from camera, buy this device. This will keep you happy.

The Sony Xperia Tipo is the latest addition to the Xperia smartphone range, and it`s undoubtedly the baby of the family. It comes in at around £100 (around $160), with an 800MHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 2.5GB of internal storage, a 3.2MP camera and a 3.2-inch 320 x 480 display. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which in terms of its specifications is definitely the standout feature. The Sony Xperia Tipo (also known as the ...
Pros: Android 4.0, Smooth and responsive, Solid battery life, Fast browser, Good for music,
Cons: Low res screen, Cramped keyboard, Bad for watching video, Mediocre camera, Contacts and messaging,
Sony isn`t as shy to go downmarket with Android as HTC used to be, and the Xperia tipo is a proud proof of that strategy. Codenamed as the Tapioca (we wish they kept the edible name), this is the first truly entry level Android from the Japanese. Has......
Pros: Good call quality ; Capable loudspeaker
Cons: Subpar camera quality
Verdict: The Sony Xperia tipo is a very decent foray in the world of entry level Androids. It has the performance and stability of Android Ice Cream Sandwich going for it, as well as a pleasant to hold, and comfortable to operate with one hand chubby chassis....
Sony has released more smartphones than ever before 2012, hoping that strength in numbers will help it overcome Android competition from the likes of Samsung and HTC. One important, but often overlooked area of any manufacturer’s line-up is the entry level -- it’s these devices which attract first-time smartphone users, giving them their first taste of the Android platform. We’re taking a look at one such device today. The Sony ...
Pros: A decent, if basic Android experience for around £100 SIM-free. Delivers Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and many of the benefits of more expensive Sony phones. Build quality is decentm considering the low price.
Cons: Slow CPU will limit gaming and multimedia performance. Poor camera performance in still shots and video.
Verdict: You don't expect the world when you're paying just £100 for a smartphone, and the Sony Xperia Tipo offers a basic, Android 4.0 experience that's compromised, but not fatally so. There's a vast gulf between this phone and a &poun...
The Sony Xperia Tipo is a tiny Android Ice Cream Sandwich-powered mobile. It`s unlikely to impress in the performance stakes, but at under u00a3100, I`m hopeful it could be a decent Android handset if you`re buying your first smart phone....
Pros: Will cost under u00a3100 ; Android Ice Cream Sandwich ; Colourful design
Cons: Low-res screen ; Not a powerful processor
