realme P4s 5G Expert Review Summary
Expert Rating:
![Dhruv Joshi]()
Verdict
The Realme P4s is a well-rounded mid-range smartphone that gets most things correct. The excellent AMOLED display, reliable battery life and capable cameras make it a good everyday phone, while the quirky design gives it some character. The phone's low light images, however, can be slightly noisy, and the stereo speakers lack depth. Overall, the P4s is a pretty decent all-rounder for users who want a good mix of features without major compromises.
Pros
- Excellent display with good brightness
- Unique design with robust protection
- Reliable performance across tasks
- Great battery life
Cons
- Some noise in low light images
- Speakers could be better tuned
Design: quirky, but in a good way
+
The Realme P4s has a bold, quirky design with its faux internals and stripes. I tested the Titanium Grey version, which looks more subtle but still stands out. The 208g phone feels comfortable despite the 8,000mAh battery, although it is slightly top-heavy. The flat metal frame and well-placed buttons add to the ergonomics.

Battery: more than enough for most users
+
The Realme P4s' 8,000mAh battery easily lasts around a day and a half, although two full days may be a stretch. Its 20-hour 30-minute PCMark score is reasonable considering the bright display. The 80W charging took 66 minutes from 20 to 100 percent, which is decent. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the battery life.

Performance and software: nothing to complain about
+
The Dimensity 7400 Ultra with 12GB RAM handles everyday use and gaming well, although the phone gets warm during longer gaming sessions. Performance isn't class-leading, but it makes sense at the current price. Realme UI 7.0 feels familiar, while reduced bloatware is a welcome improvement.

Cameras: decent all-round performance
+
The P4s' 50MP main and 8MP ultra-wide cameras perform well during the day, with good detail, colours and realistic portraits. The ultra-wide is useful for wider shots, while low-light photos can get noisy. The 16MP selfie camera also produces natural-looking results without excessive skin smoothing.

Display: excellent colours and visibility
+
The Realme P4s' 6.78-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED display is easily one of my favourite features, with 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and excellent brightness. It looks sharp and vibrant, making videos, gaming and scrolling enjoyable. The stereo speakers are loud enough but sound a little shrill and lack depth compared with some rivals.

How does it compare against the competition?
+
The Realme P4s' chief competitors include the iQOO Z11 (review) and POCO X8 Power, currently priced at Rs 34,999 and Rs 35,999, respectively. The iQOO Z11 targets users who want a phone that can do a bit of everything, with a slightly better Dimensity 7500 chipset, a smaller 7,050mAh battery, and a curved AMOLED panel. It also offers similar software support. While it has a slight advantage in performance and cameras, the P4s offers better battery life, and some users may prefer its flat display.
The POCO X8 Power takes a more specialised approach with its massive 10,000mAh battery. It uses the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, UFS 4.1 storage on the 256GB variant, and longer software support with four OS upgrades and six years of security updates. It targets a similar audience, focusing on battery life, performance, and long-term use. The P4s still has an advantage in cameras, although the POCO does offer more on the hardware and software front at a similar price.
