Acer Aspire One 270 NU.SGASI.003 Netbook (Atom Dual Core 2nd Gen/2 GB/320 GB/Linux)

Hi,nIts a very good purchase for n- those who are frequent travelers, n- those who don't need a large screen to do their jobs like documenting, communicating & internet based work style.n- those who hate large screens and heavy laptopsn- plus those who are awaken now from ipad era and now need a small device which could actually function like a full computer.nni was initially considering an ASUS 10' laptop on flipkart itself (Asus Eee PC 1015CX-BLK011W Netbook Intel Atom/1GB/320GB/Linux) but then i re-searched on flipkart and found this more useful, despite the fact that ASUS was committing higher battery backup. and i believe i made a right choice. better RAM, better connectivity options etc.nnits cool sleek and just awesome.nnI was habitual of working on full size keyboards so it was slightly difficult to start working on it but after 4-5 hrs of continuous work i am becoming habitual of it now.nnThe only problem i faced was with bluetooth and below is how you can overcome that problem:nnIt comes with linux installed but i re-installed windows 7 ultimate on my system and wasn't able to figure out how bluetooth will work. it may say no bluetooth device found.nnAns = However, n1. just install this driver from the given driver CD (HON HAI Bluetooth BT 4.0 Atheros BU22) and n2. then install this driver (Dritek Launch Manager (Acer) and,n3. then restart system and press Fn+F3 (wireless key). it will open a popup window which will ask you to Turn ON bluetooth. Just turn it on and you are on its way.nnTHE ONLY SUGGESTION, i may want to give acer is if they are building computers without dvd/cd drive then instead of drivers DVD/CD, better to give locked Flashed Drive of Drivers. I have had to ask someone else in my company to access DVD and copy the drivers on flash drive to install it on my computer. nnOverall a great purchase and i am very excited with it. Flipkart's delivery was as usual great and beyond doubts.nCheers!n-nGaurav

If you don't use heavy softwares or if you aren't a gamer or if you don't like huge bulky notebooks, go for this one. It's light, compact and fully fits in the 'netbook' category. The battery life is around 5-6 hours. Windows 7 works perfectly fine, though I insist you install Ubuntu if you are interested in simply browsing the net, reading PDFs and music/movies. nAlthough the biggest drawback is that usually the screen flickers a lot if there is some heavy process going on, like installing a software. Full HD videos don't play properly. But again, this isn't what a netbook is meant for.nI have been warned that this range lacks physical quality, don't live for more than 1-2 years.nAnother drawback is that the driver DVD does not have the drivers for the webcam, which means you'll have to go online and download them. Plus it also has a lot of drivers that you don't need, because they produce a single dvd for the whole series (aspire one).nVerdict: An amazing product. One of the best netbooks I've ever come across. It takes care of all your basic needs but not more then that. Don't expect much. Don't buy this netbook just because you don't have enough money to buy a notebook..
