Flipkart Service Rating [5/5]nI placed the order on a Thursday and was playing with it on Monday morning. Outstanding!nnProduct Aesthetics [4/5]nThe AO725 is no ultrabook in the looks category but for this price it's as smart and slim as you can hope for. At under an inch, the netbook is extremely convenient to slip under your arm. I haven't given it a perfect rating because the glossy finish of the exterior pulls finger-prints out of thin air. When will these manufacturers learn!nnProduct Features [4/5]nOnce again the glossy screen costs this netbook one star but having said that the resolution is sharp and the screen is bright enough to use outdoors. I've had no trouble using it in the cab on my way to work. USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 4.0 are thoughtful additions that give the product a boost. Since it sports only a 320GB HDD (though you can always upgrade) I find the transfer rates handy since I always carry my USB 3.0 capable 1.5TB GoFlex with me. The 2GB RAM may put a lot of people off (I mean 4GB is a bare necessity) but here's where you're in for a treat. Despite the max specs defined by Acer I went ahead and ordered a PC-3 10600 8GB RAM chip (Corsair). I swapped the RAM even before booting up the netbook for the first time and...it worked like a charm. If you're up to the task, and it's really easy changing the RAM on this netbook, you can juice it up to a highly coveted 8GB for a little more money.nnProduct OS [1/5]nWindows Starter is a non-starter. It's so elementary it's like going back to nursery schooling. Within an hour of the netbook arriving I had tossed out the OS, reclaimed the occupied HD space, deleted the partitions, formatted the drive and loaded Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Of course I don't intend to use Windows 7 much anyway which is why I have a dual boot system and my primary OS is Ubuntu, which runs brilliantly. If you plan to load Linux on this netbook and realise that the touchpad isn't working stop freaking out. You just have to enable it using the Fn+F7 key combination and your touchpad will do all the acrobatics you expect of it.nnProduct Usability [4/6]nThe 11.6" screen is comfortable and you'd be surprised as to how much better than a 10.1" screen it can be. The keyboard is well laid out but I do have a major gripe with the size of the arrow keys. The total area occupied by two rows of arrow keys is exactly the same as the area occupied by the Right Shift key. It's really quite absurd. That aside, I don't suffer key-drops while typing and very rarely have to back up and correct a wrongly pressed key. nnFinal WordsnI do believe this is among the best netbooks available at this price point for someone who wants portability, style, upgradability and upcoming technology (USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 4.0). Do remember though, that if you want to do anything serious with this laptop you're going to have to do something about that OS and the RAM. After the changes I made I've been able to run Photoshop and After Effects (and play around with particles). It's no workstation but the very fact that these packages can be loaded and run shows you what this little work-horse is capable of in the right hands. In fact I found that Photoshop loaded only a fraction slower than it does on my i7 home desktop.
The netbook is simply great and best in its category.nnIts comes with 1 usb 3.0 port(and 2 usb 2.0) for faster data transfer to your external hdd.nIt is very lightweight and very portable if you like to carry it everywhere you go and battery backup upto 3-4 hours make sure you were on your work.nSome more cool features include bluetooth 4.0 with a resolution of 1366 x 768 Pixel(so u won't have any problem in playing hd contents).nnAnd you can even upgrade it to windows 8 pro.
