The Acer E1-510 (NX.MGRSI.002) is just a simple low range laptop targeted at people who are ready to compromise with performance as long as it suits their budget. It flaunts some notable features like a HD webcam, a durable battery backup, one high speed USB slot, a gesture supported touchpad and the support for Gigabit Ethernet.

Display and Design
 
The Acer E1-510 (NX.MGRSI.002) sports a HD LED backlit TFT LCD display which runs on Cine Crystal technology that increases the brightness to offer rich visibility while placing media files. The 15.6-inch panel looks quite dull with a native resolution of just 1,366 x 768 pixels. It is housed in an all black outfit which has a thickness of 25.3mm and a weight of 2.3 kg.
 
Processor and OS
 
Under the hood, it is packed with an outdated 2.1 GHz Intel Celeron Dual Core N2820 processor from the 1st generation family. The CPU is supported by a merely 2GB DDR3 RAM which is not surprising considering its price and can be expanded up to 8GB via the 2 user accessible DIMM slots. It manages rich videos and games with the help of inbuilt Intel HD GPU. It runs on 64 bit Linux OS which will appear to be complicated for first timers.
 
Camera, Storage and Multimedia
 
With the Acer Crystal Eye webcam which can shoot 720p videos on top of the display, you can converse comfortably through video calls. For storage requirements, the Acer E1-510 (NX.MGRSI.002) houses a 500GB SATA HDD. It even carries a SuperMulti DVD Drive having support for dual layers.
 
The input tasks are carried out by a chiclet keyboard and a touchpad supporting multi touch gestures like pinch, 2 finger scroll, swipe, previous apps and application commands. The dual stereo speakers are run by MS Sound Compatible technology.
 
Battery and Connectivity
 
The Acer E1-510 (NX.MGRSI.002) is capable of providing interruption free service for up to 4 hours with a 4 cell Li-ion battery. On the connectivity front, it flaunts Gigabit Ethernet, WLAN, Bluetooth v4.0, 2 USB 2.0 slots, 1 USB 3.0 slot, HDMI out, digital media reader and VGA port.
