The Acer E1-522 (NX.M81SI.002) is a handy option for business as well as gaming and doesn't ask you to spend much for possessing it. It runs on the latest tile based Windows platform and is capable of handling decent amount of graphics. Presence of a fast optical drive, a decent battery and sound input devices make it a good deal.

The Acer E1-522 (NX.M81SI.002) sports a 15.6-inch HD TFT LCD display with LED backlit and a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. Running on the CineCrystal technology, this panel is extremely bright and vivid and looks gorgeous while playing games and videos.

 

It is wrapped in a 25.3mm thick black colored body which has a weight of 2.4kg and can be carried around quite easily.

 

Processor and OS

 

At the heart of the Acer E1-522 (NX.M81SI.002), there is a 2GHz AMD quad-core A6-5200 processor sitting on AMD Fusion A68M chipset and functioning along with a usual 4GB DDR3 RAM. For better performance, you can boost the RAM up to 8GB. The 512MB AMD Radeon HD 8400 graphics card may not be able to handle ultra rich graphics but is good for decent quality media files. It runs on 64 bit Windows 8 OS.

 

Camera and Storage

 

The laptop has an Acer Crystal Eye webcam for video calling purposes and accounts for your storage needs with a 500GB SATA hard disk. It even has a SuperMulti DVD RW Drive with dual layer support so that you can stream files loaded on disks easily. A FineTouch keyboard and a multi touch gesture supported touchpad make up the input package.

 

Battery and Connectivity

 

The Acer E1-522 (NX.M81SI.002) runs the show with a 4 cell Li-ion battery which is capable of providing uninterrupted service for a maximum period of 3.5 hours. The connectivity options come in the form of Bluetooth v4.0, 2 USB 2.0 slots, 1 USB 3.0 port, WLAN, Ethernet port, VGA port and digital media reader.
