Go for the Acer Aspire E5-571 (NX.MPTSI.002) if you need a pocket friendly laptop that doesn't ask you to charge frequently. The powerful optical drive supporting M-Discs is another plus point of this device. However, the complicated Linux OS can cause problems.

Display and Body

The Acer Aspire E5-571 (NX.MPTSI.002) flaunts a 15.6-inch HD TFT Colour LCD display with LED backlit and a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. The screen supports Acer CineCrystal technology to provide increased brightness that makes media appear rich but can prove stressful for your eyes.

It looks quite appealing in its unique tiger eye brown colored outfit having a thickness of 30.3mm and a weight of 2.5kg. It has a chiclet keyboard and a touchpad supporting multiple gestures.

Configuration and Platform

Doing the duty on the inside is a 1.7GHz Intel Core i3 4th generation processor sitting on QM87 Express chipset. It is mated to a 4GB DDR3 RAM expandable up to 8GB through 2 DIMM slots. Rich graphics is managed by the inbuilt Intel HD 4400 GPU. It sails on 64 bit Linux OS.

The Acer Aspire E5-571 (NX.MPTSI.002) features a Acer Crystal Eye HD webcam for online video calls and a 500GB SATA HDD offering plenty of storage space.

The dual stereo speakers powered by MS Sound Compatible stereo speakers provide the perfect ambience for powerful entertainment. It also has a SuperMulti DVD Drive with dual layer support so that you can retrieve movies and songs from disks at will. The optical drive supports M-Discs,a new kind of discs which don't get affected by natural processes.

The Acer Aspire E5-571 (NX.MPTSI.002) runs the show with a 6 cell Li-ion battery promising up to 7 hours of service. Moving on to the networking and connectivity features, we have VGA port, Bluetooth v4.0, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI out, Wi-Fi, digital media reader, 1 USB 3.0 port and 2 USB 2.0 slots.
