Verdict
The laptop is very good for business purposes running office applications, mailing and networking smoothly. It is also very good for listening music and watching movies. It is not a machine for gamers as it does not include a dedicated external graphics card. Looking at such a cheap price and the features available, it is definitely a good buy.
Budget laptop with good RAM and battery
Display and design

The Acer Aspire ES1-512 (NX.MRWSI.004) Laptop is budget friendly and poses a 15.6-inch wxga Acer cinecrystal LED display that supports a maximum resolution up to 1366 x 768 Pixels. The laptop is housed within a 25.0 mm black casing and weighs only 2.2 Kg.The input devices spotted beneath the display are a Touchpad with Multi-touch Gesture support and a Acer FineTip Keyboard. 

Processor and OS

The low priced laptop comes with an Intel Pentium Quad-Core N3540 processor with a processing speed of 2.1GHz to manage all the operations in the laptop.The CPU is also aided by a 2GB RAM in a 1 x 2 Gigabyte memory layout and can be expanded up to 8GB using the unused DIMM memory slot. The integrated Intel HD graphic processor is capable of managing only simple games and videos smoothly.The laptop is shipped with the latest 64-bit Windows 8.1 Operating System.

Camera, Storage and Multimedia

The new laptop from Acer comes with a promising Acer Crystal Eye webcam. The webcam in consonance with an inbuilt microphone provides video calling with good clarity and no noise.  For the storage purposes, it has a 500GB SATA hard disk on board that is quite sufficient for storing your softwares, pictures, music files and more.The presence of a DVD Super Multi Drive enables you to copy files from a disc as well as burn data on it with hi-speed. The two 1,5 W Stereo Speakers running on HD Audio Solution software is perfect for giving you a good audio environment while watching flicks or playing games.

Battery and Connectivity

A 3 Cell Li-Ion battery working on a 65 W AC power supply gives the laptop ample energy to run for 5 hours when not plugged in.The connectivity options spotted in the laptop are - Ethernet, Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, two USB 2.0 slots, one USB 3.0 slot, one HDMI port, Digital Media Reader and a VGA Port.
