The Acer Aspire ES1-531 (NX.MZ8EA.003) laptop comes in an affordable price tag and packs in sound battery backup. You can increase the RAM for better performance and make use of DVD writer for maintaining a copy of important data files. The pre-installed Windows OS is very user friendly. However, the processor is an average one, letting the user to enjoy limited multitasking say running mid level games and applications. The Acer Aspire ES1-531 (NX.MZ8EA.003) laptop comes with a 15.6-inch HD LED backlight display and measures 381 x 258 x 26.1mm. It has a screen resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels, weighs 2.4Kg and is available in black coloured body. Inside the system, there is a 1.6GHz Intel Pentium quad-core N3700 processor coupled by 4GB of DDR3 RAM which can be further expanded upto 8GB using DIMM slot. The laptop boots on Windows 8 operating system sailing upon 64-bit architecture.

Camera, Input Devices and Battery

One can enjoy video calling and click pictures with the help of integrated webcam and microphone. The input devices perform very well namely - touchpad with multi-touch gestures support, standard keyboard and DVD writer. The device gets its energy from a 3 cell li-po battery which claims to render a backup up to four hours.

Storage and Connectivity

The user can store files in a 500GB SATA HDD present inside the system. On the connectivity ground, the device offers options such as Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, two USB 2.0 slots, one USB 3.0 slot, an HDMI out, a digital media reader, a headphone jack and a microphone jack.
