If size isn't a constraint, the iPad Mini is a reliable yet affordable tablet. The cellular connectivity makes it ideal for on-the-go use.

Display, OS and processor
The first iPad Mini features a 7.9-inch display with a 768 x 1024 resolution. It is powered by an Apple A5 processor, 512MB of RAM and PowerVR SGX543MP2 graphics. Originally introduced with iOS 6, it is upgradable to iOS 7. 

Camera and storage
A 5MP iSight primary camera sits at the back panel, and can take full HD videos. It also offers autofocus, geotagging and face detection. In front is a 1.2MP FaceTime camera for video calls. There is 32GB of onboard storage, but no microSD card for expansion.

Connectivity and battery
Coming to connectivity, the iPad Mini offers 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and USB. It offers 10 hours of usage.
