The Apple iPad Pro 9.7-inch 128GB is one of the best tablets you can find on the market with an excellent display. It offers a powerful processor, impressive amount of internal memory, a long-lasting battery, and decent connectivity features. The slate also gets a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button for extra security of user data.

Design and OS

Apple has fitted the high-end features of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro in the latest 9.7-inch iPad Pro variant. Design-wise, the slate looks quite similar to the iPad Pro 12.9-inch edition as it gets the same metal chassis and quad speakers for immersive media experience, which are located on all the four corners. The slate measures quite slim with a 6.1mm waistline, and tips the scale at 437 grams. Users can also use it as a full-fledged iOS laptop by attaching an optional keyboard accessory. Software-wise, it runs iOS 9.3 that comes with several software enhancements. Apple has also added the Pencil and Smart Keyboard support on the iPad 9.7-inch variant.

Display and configuration

As for the display, the Apple iPad Pro 9.7 variant as its name suggests sports a 9.7-inch screen with Retina Display and a new True Tone screen technology. The tablet is powered by the company's own Apple A9X processor, found on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro variant. The performance is further supported by 2GB of RAM and an Apple M9 co-processor.

Camera and internal memory

For imaging, the Apple iPad Pro 9.7-inch variant gets a 12MP iSight camera with support for a TrueTone LED flash, Focus Pixels, Live Photos and 4K video recording functionality. For selfies and video calling purposes, the slate offers a 5MP secondary snapper on the front. As its name suggests, the iPad Pro 9.7-inch edition comes with 128GB of internal memory, which unfortunately can't be further increased by inserting a microSD card.

Connectivity and battery

The Apple iPad 9.7-inch variant comes with a fingerprint sensor for enhanced data security, which is integrated into the home button. Its other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. As for the battery, it is fuelled by a 27.3 Whr unit, which as per the company is capable of delivering 10 hours of web browsing, or you can watch videos for the same amount of time.
