Go for the Asus K53E-SX182D if you are too tight on budget and need a laptop only to meet your basic computing needs at office. It has got a sound Intel Core i3 processor which is surprise considering its price but lacks any preloaded OS and a good RAM. Moreover, it is extremely bulky preventing you from carrying it too far.

Display and Design

 

The Asus K53E-SX182D features a bright and glossy 15.6-inch HD Glare display with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels which will look rich while playing media files but can strain your eyes when you stare it at for long hours.

 

The outfit looks extremely bulky courtesy the thickness of 34.9 mm and a weight of 2.6 kg and can pose problems in terms of mobility. It makes up for its chunkiness to some extent with a glossy red aluminium finish.

 

Processor and OS

 

On the inside, the Asus K53E-SX182D is packed with a 2.1 GHz Intel Core i3 processor belonging to the 2nd generation series and housed on Intel HM65 Express chipset. It is supported by a mere 2GB DDR3 RAM operating at 1333MHz and expandable up to 8GB via the 2 user accessible SODIMM slots. For managing rich graphics and videos, it relies on the Intel HD 3000 GPU. It is devoid of any preloaded OS.

The VGA webcam embedded in the bezel on the top of the display supports online video calls.
