The Asus R704A-RH51 features a large display and has sound battery backup. The performance is good for daily usage. However, the laptop is heavy in weight and it misses out Full HD display which is a disappointment in this budget.

The Asus R704A-RH51 laptop flaunts a large 17.3-inch HD Plus BrightView LED Backlit display which has a screen resolution of 1,600 x 900 pixels. The system is driven by a 2.5GHz Intel Core i5-3210M processor, 4GB of DDR3 RAM and an integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics engine seated upon Intel HM76 chipset. The laptop boots on Windows 8 Home Basic operating system floating upon 64-bit architecture.

 

Body Looks, Input Devices and Sound

 

The laptop comes in a black coloured body which looks shiny and glossy. It weighs only 3Kg and measures 420 x 282 x 41mm. The input devices present in the Asus R704A-RH51 are - a touchpad, a full size island style keyboard with numeric keypad and a DVD writer. The stereo speakers featuring SonicMaster Lite technology delivers good quality audio wave.

 

Battery and Connectivity 

 

Acting as a stamina provider, is a 6 cell li-ion battery which keeps the show running for long hours. On the connectivity front, the Asus R704A-RH51 supports a Wireless LAN 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, two USB 2.0 slots, an SD card reader, a headphone jack, a microphone jack and a VGA port.

 

Camera and Storage

 

A webcam is armed above the bezel which comes in handy for video calling and recording needs. It captures good quality videos. The user can enjoy video calling by installing apps such as SKYPE, Hangouts, ooVoo, Jitsi etc. One can also shoot videos and post in websites such as YouTube or share the videos with their dear ones. As far as the storage is concerned, the Asus R704A-RH51 features a 750GB SATA hard disk which performs task at a speed of 5,400 revolutions per minute.
