Asus S550CM-CJ054H Ultrabook (Core i5 3rd Gen/4 GB/750 GB 24 GB SSD/Windows 8/2)

I don't want to talk much about what is in the specifications. Any how you will get what is been promised. Here is my user experience with the product. Softwares and Drivers The very first thing I love is the notebook comes with everything pre-loaded. There is no hassle that you have find and update the driver and no nasty updates that will take a day long. ASUS included many useful software preloaded,power saving features and also there is free cloud subscription for a year. I’ll bet even kids can setup this new notebook up and running it’s so easy. Built Quality The aluminum body is really solid and has premium finish. Definitely it will be envy of your friends. I heard from some reviews that keyboard bends at center when you press the keys but I don’t feel it is there. Remember it’s an ultra book. It is very sleek with thickness < 1 Inch. The notebook is really cool I meant it to say stays cool even after some reasonable GPU usage. There are no heating problems to worry about. Display Though I feel with screen resolution is no up to class mark it will not disappoint you in anyways. Touch screen is very sensitive and has full support for 10pts multi touch. Glass finish screen is really good convenient to use. Asus had included clean cloth with package should be useful. I don’t feel screen builds smudges easily it pretty cool to continuous usage. Audio I feel it to be special than my other laptops. For a notebook it is definitely above average. Keyboard The Keyboard is well spaced I feel very convenient to use when compared to my other laptops. There is full set of keys and there won’t be any disappointment you will also find num pad to save you from office works. Touch pad is larger and pretty smart with ASUS software and has support up to 3 finger multi touch gesture support with this it does many magic’s. Also automatically disables when I connect to a mouse. Connectivity Again the in connectivity you will have your entire wish for. 1-USB 3.0, 2 – USB 2.0, HDMI, VGA, Bluetooth 4.0, and WIFI as it is in the spec mentioned of the product. Performance Again with ASUS Support software makes magi c with true 2 second boot time not mention all because of SSD for speedy boot. Every day task goes buttery smooth. Remember it is with GeForce® GT 635M graphics I couldn’t make processors cry out, with moderate GPU intensive games it all goes all well. Yet to do the bench mark with heavy GPU Work. Battery Even with all ultra book specifications battery lasts only for about 4 - 4.5 Hrs for normal usage. I expected little more but may be it is due to 15" Touch screen this is what we can expect from 44WHr Battery. Windows 8 It may be a little difficult for an average computer user to understand how the new windows is organized. But you should be loving this touch optimized nice user interface at very first sight. There are lots of apps for Win8 Modern UI a.k.a Metro in Store. I will say windows 8 is really redefined for modern generation. What you take away at the end is real increase in usability of computers and opens up myriads of possibilities for user interface. The market is not yet mature definitely it’s going to be rocking up with time. Verdict for the Product This ASUS S550CM will be a premium experience with a wow. Of-course it may be not the best that money can buy. But it is reasonably priced, well may be bit pricier than ordinary laptops but definitely worth for the features offered. It will be a complete ultra book without any compromises in any directions. I had spent only little more than week with it as of now I didn’t find any issues with ultra book if any will keep you posted ;) Flipkart’s Service Though there is delay in product shipment, Customer care executives are very polite in answering questions and responsible. The packing and delivery are very premium. Oh forgot to mention Flipkart’s Product buying assistance as service is also very good. I bought this product for 51k which is so cheap, but after buying i found two problems. One with the touch screen . Whenever i close the screen and open again without shutting down the laptop i see lot of dots in screen but it will go off as soon i restart. Then with the Motherboard. Very Bad experience . I can sense small amout of current passing through the body of laptop which is very unusual and then while playing high end graphics game as soon as i remove the power outlet the game gets stuck which is also totally unusual. And the projector pin and usb pin automatically disconnects and connects automatically. So think twice before u purchase
