Asus X200MA-KX644D Netbook (Celeron Dual Core/2 GB/500 GB/DOS)

I bought this laptop as a secondary laptop and didn't intend to use it as my primary PC. Therefore, this review will not be from the perspective of a primary user. nnBUILD QUALITY : The build quality of this laptop is much better than my Hp r-022tx Notebook which comes for around Rs 43000/-. All the ports were sturdy and didn't seem loose. Keyboard was also of a very good quality. Just the touchpad wasn't impressive enough. It was a little loose and kind of came in the way of typing. nnHDMI-VGA BOTH : Most modern laptops come with HDMI port and most older laptops came with VGA ports but this one surprised me a bit by making both VGA and HDMI available. nnEASY LINUX INSTALLATION : I bought this one so that I can switch from linux to windows to linux again at a daily basis if necessary. Very happy to see that installation of Ubuntu OS from a usb flash drive didn't even require tweaking the BIOS. Ofcourse, no drivers needed for Ubuntu and the shortcut keys required just a little effort from my side to function properly. Though, I am not yet able to make the bluetooth work on Ubuntu but I guess I'll be able to do that also(laptop came yesterday, so...). Volume shortcuts buttons and the built-in speaker itself worked perfectly out of the box. nnWHITE COLOR IS EPIC : I dont know about the black variant but this one(white) looks awesome. Laptop is lightweight and beautiful while carrying. I would RECOMMEND that you go for the White variant. nnMOBILE : This one doesn't feel heavy at all. Its so small that I can mange to keep it on the smallest of surfaces. Along with being lightweight, it also has a great battery backup(4-5 hours moderate LAN usage). nn1. Remember, this does NOT come with a TOUCHSCREEN or an inbuilt OS(except DOS).n2. There is no offical support for Ubuntu, but it works.nnAll in all it's a great laptop. I would say its a go if you want a secondary/carry around laptop.
