Verdict

The Asus X43TA-VX052D laptop has great battery backup, you can play games, watch videos, browse your work etc. for long hours. The dedicated GPU outputs good quality visualisation. However, the price is expensive as less RAM and no Windows OS is a major disappointment.

Display and Configuration

The Asus X43TA-VX052D laptop flaunts a 13.8-inch HD LED backlit display which has a screen resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. In order to run the system, there is a 1.4GHz AMD APU quad core A6-3400M aided by 2GB of DDR3 RAM seated upon AMD M780G Express chipset. A 1GB AMD Radeon HD 6650M graphics card results clear videos and sharp pixels while gaming. The user can increase the RAM capacity upto 8GB for better multitasking performance. The laptop runs on DOS operating system sailing upon 64-bit architecture.  

Camera, Battery and Input Devices

A 0.3MP webcam is stacked in the laptop which can capture 720p HD videos. The user can enjoy video calling or shoot recordings when needed. The user can hang on with the laptop for around 3 hours without worrying about battery drainage, thanks to the 6 cell li-ion battery present. Input devices include a touchpad, a standard notebook keyboard and a DVD writer.

Connectivity and Storage

For networking and sharing, the Asus X43TA-VX052D laptop features a wide range of options such as a Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0, one USB 3.0 slot, two USB 2.0 slots, an SD card reader, a headphone jack, a microphone jack and a VGA port. In terms of storage, the user can save a large number of different files in a 500GB SATA hard disk present. It performs task at a speed of 5,400 revolutions per minute.
